Hi
My partner is currently on the £25 month contract which gives me 75 mins and 200 texts. Generally enough for my usage and dont go over the allowance.
Looking to renew contract and interested in the phone HTC Touch Diamond and either stay on tariff on or get it cheaper.
Anyone got ideas of what is on offer currently with them?0 -
ive currently got 2 phones contract just expired and hit me with £400 bill because the took my loyalty minutes away thats another story
just been offered 2800 anytime minutes 500 texts 250mb unlimited bb
and a htc touch diamond p3700 phone 35.00 each is this a good deal or should i hang out for more?0 -
I just accepted the following retention deal (I've only been with Orange a year)
HTC Diamond Touch Phone (Free)
200 minutes
unlimited text
250mb data browsing
£20 a month (18 month contract)
I'm pretty happy I must say, I had to be pretty coy to get the data browsing thrown in for free though.0 -
I'd take the deal, I dont know what the f480 is going for on ebay but I would think you would get your £90 + some for the phone, mem card and bluetooth headset and means you can make a few quid, then you can play the 2 off against each other in 18 months time and see who is giving the best upgrade then and if orange go back to them.
Your making a few quid out of it and you could still get your iphone. The other alternative is the iphone is going payg later in the year and it will be jailbroken and unlocked then. You could always get an 8gig non 3g off ebay and use that there is no difference anyway, other than gps and 3g which i dont personally consider to be worth the £700 or so you would be spending on it.0 -
from what i've read i would wait in the 3g iphone anyways, its still needs some small niggles fixing.0

Its a good offer but works out expensive for me as they offered me the HTC for £40 BUT...
only need to pay £12.50 per month(18 month contract) for 500 mins
some texts i think 600 or 100 not 100% sure but unlimited data
over the 18 months i pay only £265 inluding the £40 for the phone
over the 18 months you pay £360 so im £95 better off than yourself what i would say is try pushing the price down harder i will phone orange again tomorrow to see if i can know off the £40 you just never know but best of luck let us know what the best deal you can get and i will do the same
thanks0 -
First time poster, just thought I'd share my retention deal I got just a few mins ago.
Free HTC Touch Diamond
400 mins
Unlimited texts
Unlimited (250mb) data
= £22.50
The price plan is meant to be £30 + an additional £7.50 for the 'unlimited' data bundle. I was unable to get the data for free, but managed to cut the talk plan in half, reducing it to £15 + £7.50 for the data bundle.
There was no way they were going to throw the data bundle in for free, the key seems to be to negotiate on the price of the plan which they seemed quite willing to half.
Overall very happy!0 -

Sorry thats correct what is written here
What i meant to say was i negotiated the price plan for £10 pm and £2.50 for the internet access so apologies for any confusion0 -
I'm new to all this, and would like some advise....
I just called Orange, who confirmed that my telephone bills are on ave. £250 per month, 600 mins and 200 texts, alot of which were made up of calls overseas, which was unforseen and definetely won't be happening again!!
So i just spoke to the retentione department, and they've offered me:-
1200 mins,
500 texts
unlimited web browsing
HTC Diamond Phone
£30 per month
Do you think in could barted a better deal, if so how????0 -
Have just got
400 mins (anytime, any network)
Unlimited texts
HTC Diamond
For £10 p/m for 18 months, plus an extra one-off £10 for the phone.
Pretty chuffed with the package - it's the 3rd Orange contract currently in my name ( me and 2 teens) and the deals have got better each time!0
