I rang Orange three times and got offered different deals everytime, I tried to get unlimited data but all three people kept saying that offer has expired. But I can get it free if I take a Blackberry phone. In the end I took this deal:
700 Minutes
100 Texts
Unlimited landline calls
HTC Diamond Touch (£4.99 one of fee for phone)
£20 per month (18 month contract)0 -
Hi,
In early july I realised that my £35 pm contract was up with orange< and looking around for deals noticed that they had a free ipod touch offer. I rang the retentions/disconnections department and asked if they would offer me a new phone and the ipod if i renewed the contract, the lady on the phone said they could and as we went through the rest of the process I confirmed the deal with her about three times, saying things like 'so, just to confirm, I'm getting the c902 and the free ipod touch', to which she replied 'yes'.
A few days later I phoned orange again to make sure they had the correct delivery address as we'd recently moved. the operator confirmed the address and I asked her about the ipod, she said they would wait for 7 days after the contract had started (the returns period on the contract) then they would send out the Ipod (subject to a 28 days delivery window) I've waited a few weeks and have just phoned them back to ask where the ipod is. To my shock they say they have no record of the ipod on the account and kept telling me that i 'wouldn't have been offered that deal' as it was only for customers on a £35 pcm tariff, and when i renewed my contract my tarriff was discounted to £30 pcm!
as far as i can see they've breached a verbal contract that they made with me, and i should be entitled to terminate the contract with impunity from any detrimental notes against my credit history etc.
does anyone have any similar experience or know where i stand?
they record the phone calls but 'only for training purposes' so obviously that's a dead end...
any ideas?
thanks0 -
I've just signed up to a new contract with orange, what stage can I swap plans and if i change from say dolphin 25 (12 month) to raccoon 25 (18 month) do they take into account the amount of time I have spent with them when I cancel0

One of my 3 phones is up for renewal on my contract. I'm a bit worried about trying to get the best deals out of them due to the fact i'm still going to be in contract with them anyway!
So far, I've called and said i'm interested in the Touch Diamond on the Dolphin 25 plan (20pm).. they said they can do this for me for free. I want to be cheeky and get the dolphin 25 for 15pm, think that's possible???0 -
I am 15 months into my first Orange contract and phoned yesterday (the first day I was able to upgrade and was first told the best they could do was the Tocco with 8gb memory card on my original call plan Dolphin 35 (600 mins and unlimited text) with my broadband included for £27 per month, which I originally thought was quite good until I looked on here. So phoned back and they told me the very best they could possibly do was the free phone, broadband and £25 per month. Again said I wasn’t particularly happy and he said to wait a month or so when I was nearer the end of my contract and I would have more “points” then. I phoned back for a third time, originally asking about adding another phone to the contract for my daughter and was put through to someone else who said straight away she could do me the phone (Tocco), 8gb card, broadband and the Dolphin 35 tariff for £20 per month!! J I thought that was really good so took it - maybe should have phoned back to see if I could get it down to £15 lol!!0

Well, I phoned back as wasnt too impressed with what I was offered. I don't think they were budging with price as £20 seems to be lowest they'll go for me. Came out with this..
400minutes
unlimited texts
15mms a month (asked for browsing instead, but couldnt give me that)
samsung tocco + 8gb card
£20pm for 18months..
I'm quite happy with that, 200 extra minutes per month! :beer:0 -
I upgraded (or should I say retained!) today to following on an 18 month contract.
Free HTC Touch Diamond
20 pounds per month
500 minutes, 100 Texts, unlimited landline minutes
(basically Racoon 30 tariff)
I know some people got 700 minutes for that price but as I hardly used
30 - 40 minutes per month last year, they were not giving anything better.
I'm happy.0 -
Hi
My contract with Orange is due for renewal in October, I was going to move onto PAYG as I dont like having a contract. I would usually spend about £20/£25 per month on PAYG I reckon.
Orange rang me today to see if I will stay with them and offered me 400 minutes and unlimited texts for 25 a month with a phone of my choice, I am interested in the W890 & W760i both of which I can have on the tariff they are offering. Question is they are only really offering whats on the website, how can I get them to up their stakes and give me a better deal ?
Anyone got any ideas and does anyone have one of these phones and are they any good, I am a die hard Sony Ericsson lover so I wouldnt go for any other brand

I would definately ask them to up the minutes! Maybe try 600 mins for £25 a month, as I know they are offering 600 mins for £30 a month on their website, although this was originally £35 a month so they may try and tell you that.
I am with Orange and I pay £45 a month, which gets me 900 mins and unlimited text messages, plus when I got this deal I also got a free Playstation 3 but this was from the Carphone Warehouse.
I have a friend that used to work for Vodafone in the retentions department and aparently they will try their very hardest to keep you as a customer, especially if you spent a lot of money, ie going over your phone bill every month. They will want to keep customers like that, as they can charge much more for phonecalls that are not within your minutes!0
