Not much use if you've already got your PAC and another contract lined up though....
However, you're right. Someone from EE loyalty team called my second contract number which belongs to my Mother. My mum told her that she wasn't the bill payer and that I was at work. The caller left an email address, which I duly emailed.
Received an email back asking reason for leaving and saying they had good deals. Emailed back giving my reasons, details of contracts I was looking at purchasing from other provider and to send further details of any offers I might be interested in.
Two days later, no further email, further proving to me that their customer service leaves a fair amount to be desired.0 -
Well thanks to incorrect info from India last year about a account error being corrected my discount and additional minutes dropped off my number and my bills went from £7.50 and up to £30 !
Was meant to have a credit of £600 at upgrade date as a refund of my out of expenses due to the error and some compensation.
I noticed all the above was not as promised and have been told to make a written complaint, which I will do via Ofcom.
As I use Signalboost at home I could not get EE4G. Solution was at EE shop to keep Orange on low priceplan and divert EE to Orange at home.
Went home and considered Blackberry Z10, on web chat they told me they did BB BIS and I said was possible that my unlimited BIS would be carried across and they said no I would get 500MB but I could pay for more and it was BIS
BLACKBERRY don't do BIS on new models and neither do web team know BIS is not supported by EE as I am later informed on phone.
Rollseyes...
Every year Orange staff get worse about their own products, services and procedures. It's like 3 was.0thank God I educate myself because lesser People must end up in some strive later based on staff.
Call Orange and explain situation and retentions offer BLACKBERRY CURVE 30 mins 500 texts as Curve only SignalBoost available £10 and with my BIS that's free carrying over cost is just £5 a month, accepted and off to shop.ee.co.uk I go.
EE online shop will not let me add to Orange account as it should and just has hissy fits so I call telesales whom are giving an extra £5 off a month compared to online shop.
Sony Xperia SP unlimited calls and texts and 500MB £21 a month.
NOT after all this time having SignalBoost on EE, stupid...
Not most ideal having 2 phones so you can get a signal but hey hoe at least I will have one doing the divert at home trick.
Guess I can't complain about costs though.SO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... You will be leaving the UK aswell as Europe0 -

I tried a few options today for upgrading my Orange contract to a Galaxy Note 2 (initially quoted £36pm by Orange...) and found a bit of negotiation with Phones 4U to be the best outcome. At first they said they couldn't get me the price I wanted but then said they could if I took the deal through 'sister company' dial-a-phone (who I don't like). The deal they offered was:
Galaxy Note 2 (Free)
Minutes: 600, Text: Unlimitted, Data: 1GB
2 Switchables (seem OK, not sure I'll use em)
£28.50 including VAT
I wasn't a big fan of dial-a-phone so called Orange retentions to see what they could do and the best they could offer was £28.50 plus £25 for the handset (effectively £29.50) so I took the dial-a-phone offer instead, and as luck would have it they completed the sale as Phones-4U so I can take the handset to the stores if there are any problems.
Anyway, long story short, I echo the opinions earlier in the thread that 3rd parties seem to be able to offer marginally better deals than Orange retentions can.0 -
Well I'm off to Ofcom to make a complaint, 2 years ago Orange missold me, and I ended up £600 out of pocket and I just got the latest upgrade contract...guess....MISOLD again!!!SO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... Twice on both calls the agreed plan and/or costs are NOT what the renewal letter I receive AFTER 2 weeks (DSR!) say...
My AGREED £10 plan with my ongoing Blackberry discount (£5) 30 mins and 500 texts for £5 has become £16.50 for my old Racoon 15 plan WITH the CANCELLED unlimited text at £5.10 is still on there...
Still £600 out of pocket on last contract "credit" Orange would not transfer to EE(4G)
I'm already paying EE(4G) £21 a month on a new contract, this one was to be a additional token payment contract to provide BlackBerry Services and UMA SignalBoost as EE(4G) don't do these.
Ofcom tomorrow...and legal notices. Honestly in 7 years the amount of problems, but UMA Signal Boost gives me no option to move, even to EE(4G) (great customer care & T-Mobile billing platform).SO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... 500 mins became 50, retentions would not apply it and it cost me £25 a month to buy them mins elsewhere, moving furniture to paint I found the contract that stated 500 mins. They were applied after prviding proof and 2 months+ of chasing it up and I was to get credit for all those £25 months to my next upgrade and compensated.
My upgrade date was reset (supposedly) for two years from the minutes being applied and low and behold in Feb I did not notice my discounts and minutes had expired. This meant my payments in the whole period were until the mins applied were like a mini contract and I would have had the phone for over 3+ years. Bear in mind the phone was faulty in month 9 and Orange would do nothing about it.
So come upgrade I was to have a £600 credit, compensation and any top end handset I wanted. EE(4G) would not do it, I got a standard telesales contract.
I let it go (fool me), now after a second time mis-sold I'm going to Ofcom for mis-selling both and a small claims. CISAS lol no chance!
The contract before, faulty phones, the contract before UMA faults and before that...
JOKE, Orange, what a joke! EE4G with T-Mobile system may be your only saving grace EE.SO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... You will be leaving the UK aswell as Europe0
