Orange Retention Offers

Upgraded last night over the phone. I was on the equiv of £20 tariff (I'd paid upfront for previous handset so worked out about £11 for tariff monthly plus phone cost).
Originally they were offering me the Galaxy Ace at £20 a month. Not what I wanted, it would be more of a downgrade!
I was very split between S3 mini and S4 (I know, very different, it was cost vs want!)
Decided I'd leave so rang up for my PAC, and got offered a retentions deal:
£31 a month
Samsung Galaxy S4 - Free
500 minutes
Unltd Texts
1.5gb data
Unltd WiFi (which I found out about after, extra bonus!).
Happy with that, as it's the phone I want on a tariff that I haven't got to worry about using it at all!
Now looking forward to next week when my new phone arrives *eek*Give a girl the right shoes and she can conquer the world!

Well I returned my upgrade phone as directed as it was definitely not new and haven't heard anything since despite it being delivered on monday morning. Phoned up and was told that it should have been a courier exchange which is what I expected and explicitly asked for when it wasn't offered. Been told it takes a week for it to be logged on Orange systems after its been returned and apparently constitutes cancellation of the upgrade and I need ot start from scratch. Waiting for another call back later today when it will hopefully be on their systems - if its not resolved today I've been promised a call tomorrow from the person I spoke to today.0

I've been on and off the phones with Orange over the past few days.
My contract ends this week so I've been trying to re-negotiate my contract.
I'm currently on around £28 for 400mins, 500mb, 600texts. This also includes 25% discount that I received for joining when I did and for where I worked.
I was offered
200mins
750mb
unlimited texts for £19.50 (including the 25%) and a new iPhone4 and initially accepted as it does sound like a good deal until it was delivered to the wrong address which gave me some time to re-think my contract.
By the sounds of it, Orange aren't that great at retention - so I'm now doubting whether it's worth trying to go as far as cancellation to push for a better deal?0 -
looks like u went to upgrades anywya which dont have the best deals dont know if u can cancel now thoughWhat goes around-comes around0

Apparently I have 14 days from when the phone is delivered to me to change my mind. I phoned up and ended up cancelling that particular contract after it was delivered to the wrong address today. Will need to call back when the phone returns to the warehouse to get a new contract sorted. Am tempted by the £26/iPhone5 deal Carphone Warehouse/Phones4U have going on so if I end up cancelling so be it.0

My 2 yr contract runs out in July. I have an S2, on Dolphin 15.50 with a 25% discount. The contract started at about £32 pm ish, but amazingly on their 1st review, they reduced it to the above as I hardly use calls at all. I pay an addnl £5 monthly to take data to 600mb.
Now, given the crazy contract I am on, what does the team think I may get on renewal? Be nice to have a new phone.....but surely not!O would some power the giftie gie us to see ourselves as others see us.

i'm looking at an iphone 5 upgrade online which suits me well
unlimited mins
unlimited text
1Gb
Wifi
handset £29.99
£29.60/mth
If I phone Orange am I likely to get anything better or will the offer be the same as the upgrade via the website?
Thanks0 -
I was on £26pm deal for 600mins (only use 150 a month), unlimited texts and 250Mb data.
Called Orange to move to SIM only and the guy mentioned he could do a better deal. Was offered and accepted:
£15.50pm for 250mins, unlimited texts and 1.5Gb data. This came with a free Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini which I plan on selling.0 -
After 8 years with Orange I called up today to cancel the two contracts I currently have with them.
I currently have the following:
£28 p/m
Unlim texts
750mb data
500 mins
£25 p/m
Unlimited texts
400 minutes
500mb
Today is exactly 1 month before my contract end date (so no extra bills)
I outlined that I wasn't happy with the packages and had found them cheaper elsewhere, and while I had previously been happy with the service received from Orange Cs this just wasn't the case anymore so I had no reason to stay.
I wasn't offered any deals at all. I just got "you wont get a cheaper deal elsewhere but fine, do want your code to transfer your numbers?"
Not sure whether I got someone who had no interest in customer retention or now they're EE they think they're too good for my £600+ a year, but I wasn't impressed at all. It just made me realise I was making the right decision leaving.0 -

I too am exactly 1 month before my contract end date; contract runs out on 17/07/2013. I currently get the following
1200 mins
Unlimited texts
750mb data (orange describe this as "unlimited" data but in my dictionary "unlimited" shouldn't have limits especially as pitiful as a 750mb limit!)
£35/month with a free blackberry torch
I have been with orange network for 4 years, outlined deals at both O2 and Vodafone which would save me hundreds of pounds elsewhere and all I was met with was "sorry about that, would you like your PAC code" and after I said yes I said "aren't you putting me through to disconnections and she said "no need it's all sorted, is there anything else I can help you with today?" we'll good riddance orange, I shall cancel my second contract with you next week you arrogant monopolists!0
