I've only got a few days left before my PAC expires/minimum term is up and having not heard anything thought I'd give them a call.

This is my average usage over the 8 months

mob landlines data text pic messages
       average 89.4 347.3 100.3 110 10

I could cut back on the landlines as I do use it at home where I've also got unlimited calls to landlines from our landline. But if its not really costing then I'd rather keep it.

Didn't start off well and it seems my options are limited by the contract I have been on. It was:

18 month contract (Free LG P500)
    200 (+200 loyalty) mins
    300 texts
    500Mb data
    unlimited landlines
    50 photo messages (loyalty)

    £9.29/month after the first increase

    Got offered

    18months
    200 mins
    300 texts
    500Mb data
    unlimited landlines
Free Xperia J, Desire C or £20 for S3 Mini
    £13.90/month

total cost is ~£250 or £270 for the S3 mini (effectively £15/m)

Declined but having had a look at the alternatives I'm starting to think it might be worth exploring a little tomorrow.

    Any thoughts?
  • I'm coming to the end of a 24 month contract, rang Orange today and they offered me the following:

Samsung Galaxy S3 Titanium - Free
    600 mins
    u/l Texts
    500mb data
£12.50 a month (was £25 but got 50% 'Loyalty discount'

    Is this any good?

I'd ideally like more data as sometimes struggle to keep in allowance but still looks a good deal to me.

    Thanks
    Craig

Sounds like a good deal to me!
What were you previously paying and what were your monthly bills like?
Did they give you the 50% loyalty discount for anything particularly?

It's for exactly the same contract terms as I'm on now as I didn't want to increase my payment. The loyalty discount was applied to my account at the start of my last contract.

My bills are around £20 a month as I pay insurance. I have far more minutes and texts than I need so may try and reduce these in place of more data allowance.

Virgin were doing a 30day sim with 1200 mins and a decent text & data allowance for £12/m so unless you need over 1200 mins I'd say the deal you've been offered isn't as good.
