Orange Retention Offers

Very much seems to depend on who you speak to - most people phone up several times to get the best deal. Of course that might only come once you have requested your PAC. For my OH they didn't offer anything at all so she went elsewhere.
I'm currently looking around to see whats available before phoning up regarding my contract.0 -
nothing decent going for me
my o/h upgraded from i4 to i5 a few weeks ago to EE from orange and went to u/l calls and texts and 1gb of data for about £8 less as on her then current i4 plan, yet loads more allowance?
they did some fiddling and kept her 25% orange perk, and she sold her old i4 for £180
though i didn't expect the same deal as she has been spending more p/m £(7-£10) i expected it to be closer,
i got offered the discounted sim only plan that is now standard on their website!
i'll be changing networks to suit me as our magic numbers will soon be defunct anyway0 -
My OH is out of contract now with Orange. She's had some ok offers, but it seems it's getting harder to get good Retention deals.
If she was to say I was to join Orange too on a contract, what are the chances of both of us getting similar contracts?2021

I'm due an early upgrade next week and what with the recent price increase, I thought i would phone up a bit early and see what they had to offer and the guy told me that for upgrades they can't beat the offers that are on Phones4u and Dialaphone. I will try again when the upgrade is due but certainly according to billmonitor.com the best offers are on dialaphone.0

Be very careful on the Early Upgrade lark with Orange.
3 months ago my wife did an early upgrade in the store. She had to pay just under £100 (fee) to buy out the contract at the discounted rate of 25%. They call orange upgrades from within the orange shop and you have pay by debit or credit card. That was ok. They then gave her the new phone/contract etc. A month later at direct debit time, they took the normal bill plus the £100 fee again and it was a right fiasco to get it back too.
Fast forward a couple of months. I did an early upgrade (£175). Same thing. Had to pay over the phone while in store (different store) to buyout the contract etc etc. This month they have taken the upgrade fee again in the direct debit so now I am trying to get it back.
Spoke to Customer Services (not India) and they apolgised and credited the money back to my account (the £175 upgrade fee) and credited my orange account with £30 as a gesture of goodwill.
Checked today and they credited my bank account with £74.92 !!!!!!! not the £175, so here we go, back on the phone calls again..................0 -
u dont need top upgrade in a shop though maybe they put it through spearately from there? What goes around-comes around0

I've just done my upgrade with Dialaphone. It won't be processed until next Wednesday which is the day Orange say I am eligible for a free upgrade though. Personally I would never buy out a contract unless I got an unbelievable deal. Phones4u wanted me to do that today for an Orange upgrade (which doesn't make it an upgrade but a new connection) but I politely told them where to go.
ETA: I should add that I got a new Xperia Z for free, 600 mins, 1gb data and unlimited texts for £31, which is 12p less than what my old contrcat will be when the price increase catches, 300min extra and 500mb data extra.0 -
that sounds a good dealWhat goes around-comes around0

The OH got an offer on the phone yesterday -
Galaxy S3 LTE (Titanium)
300 minutes
Unlimited texts
500mb data
Free Phone
This was for £26pm (what she pays at the moment).
I asked if she could call up and get me a similar deal, just on the off chance.
She spoke to them today and got the following for me
Galaxy S3 LTE (Titanium)
Unlimited minutes
Unlimited texts
500mb data but a code to upgrade to 1gb on receipt of the phone
Free phone
All this also for £26pm! She was a bit gutted that she was offered less on her upgrade and me as a new customer getting a good deal.
Not a bad afternoon's work from the OH
