Just had a call from orange to say that I can upgrade with them now effective from 27th Feb. I said I wanted to go sim only and was offered £20.50 a month for 200 minutes, unlimited texts and 100mb. She asked if that was I was looking for and I said No, too expensive and not enough minutes or data. I have 2 phones and that would mean £41 a month for both, they are both iphone 4s so not in need of new handsets. I mentioned that I get 25% discount for working for the LEA and she said to go into store and they might be able to give me loyalty minutes and my discount.
So not sure why she phoned if all she could say was go into store.
I can request my pac code on 13th March and will be if there isn't a much better offer on the table.0 -

It looks like no good retention deals have been offered - I was looking for a good deal on the S3 and recently moved to vodafone via dialaphone as orange was not offering anything I could even consider.0

I'm on the verge of leaving Orange after 18 years with them.
Every single upgrade I've done over this period (for 3 phones plus 2 data contracts) - has been an improvement on the last, with various loyalty offers thrown in and a handset upgrade. But this time what they're offering seems to be less for more and talking to them is like talking to a brick wall.
So one last chance through retentions to go - and if they can't come up with anything worthwhile I'm off!0 -

Sadly, reading the most recent pages of this thread, that seems to be the case with most people looking for a good deal when they reach the end of their minimum term.
Vote with your feet - I did, and I don't regret it one bit!

Ive been with Orange for donkey years.
Got Blackberry curve 9320 (im a BB user) 50 mins 500 texts 500MB data and unlimited blackberry data - for £10.50 per month.
I don't even need the minutes as I am hearing impaired. :-)0 -
I called today to request my pac code as contract is up in one month. After 5 minutes arguing with customer services who said I would need to call back on 10 March for pac I finally got to speak with retentions.
I asked for my pac and mentioned I was leaving as I had seen a good deal elsewhere. She never asked any questions about other contract, only made sure it wasnt another orange plan and sent me pac by text. No attempt made at all to try keep me.0 -
I had exactly the same response from Orange - they haven't tried whatsoever to keep me so got my PAC and just waiting for nearer the end of the 30 days. Been with them years but loyalty counts for nothing nowadays it appears.0

Orange seem to be ringing me up most days at the moment. I answered them one day but they caught me off guard and I didn't really know what sort of deal I was after so they just threw the standard offers at me. Im interested in a iphone 5 at the moment but I cant imagine getting a great deal after reading this thread, probably be better off with a sim only deal from Virgin or something. ;/0
