    I have been speaking to orange over the last 2 days about upgrading as I am due for an upgrade in less than 2 weeks. I am looking at the Samsung galaxy S3, the offers on speaking to 3 advisers ranged from the equivalent of £30 - £42 ...some were disguised at £26 and then he chips in oh there is a upfront/one off charge for the phone of £100, ie still £30 a month

    I was looking for an 18 month contract, minimum of 750mins, minimum of 100 texts, minimum of 1GB of data for about £25. I have realised that it is only possible to get this on a 24month contract, and that is fine. I have seen a deal this morning on Vodafone via dialaphone for equivalent of £24.17 a month (actually £29 a month but with 4months free in redemption) for 24 months getting;

    3000mins
    Unlimited texts
    1GB data

    I can also get £40 cashback via topcashback.

    I called orange this morning to ask I they could match the deal as I would like to stay. But they could offer any better than their previous deals, so I asked for my PAC code which they have promptly sent.

    I have never gone via a third party supplier for a mobile contract, how reliable is dialaphone and the redemption process?

    It is a shame that I can't stay with orange. Perhaps, I will still get a call from their retention department- will give it 2weeks and then I will make the move.

    Hi there,
    I have used Dialaphone in the past on more than one occasions and they were very reliable.
    But make sure you set up reminders and follow the instructions for cash-back to the book.
    There should not a problem with cash-back and the phone comes unlocked.

    I can't believe the amount that everyone seems to be paying on Mobile phone contracts. Unless you want to use mobile web excessively and access sport live, try the Tesco mobile phones page. Even the Galaxy Samsung contracts seem pretty cheap there. I only have a HTC wildfire which does all I need it to do for £7.50 a month, 5000 texts (which I will prob never use each month) 250 talk time and 500mb web. Am I missing something??

    Same here. Bought my wife and I an iPhone 4 on launch day and using Orange at £7 per month each for 150min, 500 text and 250mb Internet. Funny enough Orange only charge us £13.99 each bill.

    We are both not big data users as almost always in areas with free wifi (work and home) and don't commute far. Came close one month and other than not watching YouTube and streaming music we don't do anything different with the phone than we would if we had unlimited data.

    I used to be on the £35 x 2 per month club it was crazy. :eek:

    In fact when my iPhone does die i shall be moving fully over to my works blackberry and bin a phone contract. They allow you to tag personal calls and text messages (taken out of payroll) and I know based on my use it will be less than £2 a month. Starting to make the move slowly for example I can't get my London tub app on works phone so actually picked up a free tub map!

    Only just bought an iPad mini but wifi only. And 3 years I shall get the latest version with mobile data and even if prices stay as they are at £7.50 giffgaff will give you 1GB Internet which is all I really use my iPhone for!

He was whining on about the s3 being 4g able and so worth more than to me as resale in future blah blah so I said I would leave it for now and shop around! Will pop into p4u tomorrow!
