Phoned up to give them my 28 days notice and got offered nothing, they didn't even discuss me staying (despite my £55 a month spend for the last 6 years ish).
Got put through to another department to arrange the unlocking of my iPhone and explained my situation, he put me through to "retentions". Said I was after a sim only and he offered me 500 mins 500mb and texts for £15.50 on a 12 month contract. Told him tesco were offering the same for £10 on a 30 day contract and he didn't even try to better his offer!
Ill keep u updated if I get a phone call with a better offer but I'm doubting i will even get one - toodle pip orange!0 -
I have found this with Orange in the past - they don't seem to care whether you're going to leave or not these days. If you propose a better offer, they won't meet you anywhere near it. I will be switching as soon as I can unless they offer me something oustanding. Please respond to mine and others' posts with courtesy and kindness- and I will not deliberately disrespect you. Down with the trolls!0

Tried getting a deal for Samsung galaxy S3 with retentions as I am reaching the end of my present contract with them on discounted Racoon 25 tariff for my Galaxy S2. (I pay £16/month for 400 min, 300 txt, 500 mb internet and unlimited landlines).
But they could not offer me anything better than the website. Offered me to stay on the same tarriff but would have to pay £5/month extra for the internet and wanted £249 for the phone.
So would try again before the end of contract (28th Jan) but not very hopeful of getting anything interesting.
Might go and buy a new contract with the cheapest provider.I wanted to thankyou a million times but its a shame that I can press the button just once :T0 -

The length of time she has been with orange is irrelevant. They are interested in how much money she ha made them, that is, how much does she "overspend" on top of her basic package cost each month? If its not a lot then I wouldn't expect much in the way of a discounted package - even if she is a high over spender, her wish list still seems pretty unrealistic I'm afraid, the 920 is a brand new, top of the range phone.
You can always ask but I wouldn't be expecting more than about a £5 PCM loyalty discount off the usual upgrade deals that they offer I store or online.
Thanks... Well my mother in law does spend well in excess of her contract which is £35p/m. i have just had a look and you can get Nokia Lumia 920 via Phones for you for £31 and the phone for free with plenty of minutes and texts. £5 loyalty would bring it down to £26 - not a bad start but i think they can do better than that (orange). Phones4u normally offer to buy you out but in this case they wont need to. i am on vodafone and last year when i wanted to leave they did loads to keep me (dropped my contract from £45 to £25 to begin with).
Will see....0 -
Got to dead end wit retentions:
me: Can you match 3 deal for S3?
sc: Not a chance, not on £15 tarrif.
me: OK, what about 12m SIMO. Any discount?
cs: No, panther plan you want is already discounted by £5. You won't get loyalty discount on top.
me: PAC code?
cs: SMS will follow shortly.
Thats the shortest ever conversation I had with any retention team (and I had quite a few). :eek:0 -
I come to the end of my contract with orange in the 2nd week of Feb,so I am due for an upgrade from the 7th of Jan. currently pay apprx £22 a month for the Panther 35 Websave (18mth) 600mins+ 500 tesxts + 400 loyalty mins +15 photo messages +500 Loyalty texts +BlackBerry internet +Free 1GB mobile internet with the Samsung galaxy SII. They kept the blackberry Internet in case I wanted to continue using my blackberry.
Now, I would like to upgrade as soon as possible ( though can wait till the end of my contract) to the Samsung galaxy S3 with a similar plan as above, though can reduce text to 100-250 and mins to 750-900 and don't need the blackberry Internet. Looking to pay under £25. How likely is this?any one had some good offers to orange recently?
Thanks.0 -
BTW, haven't gone over £22 throughout my contract ( not a positive for a good deal)0

I spend about £55 a months orange and was hoping for a similar deal when I called to request my PAC and give them my 28 days notice.
They offered me 600 mins, texts, a gig of data for £36 a month with the S3.
I spend over double what you do and that's the best they will offer me, i would say you have no chance, sorry!
Try mobiles.co.uk - they have a deal or £26 a month if you pay £49 for the phone. I've hunted about and that seems to be the best one going.
The consensus on here seems to be that the orange detentions team used to offer decent deals when you requested your PAC, but recently these have been very rare, unless you are a HUGE spender......0
