Orange Retention Offers

I'm coming to the end of my contract with Orange.
I rang them to ask if they would reduce the price on their Xperia S from £159 (and pointed out that they were offering it free to new customers), no interest at all from them. It's like they want to lose customers.
Waiting another few days, then i'll be requesting PAC code.
How long does the PAC code last, and can i get the PAC code and register as a new customer with Orange?PPI Reclaimed £15,500 - between 2008 & 2014
Mortgage Free - 15th July 2009
Debt Free - 14th Jan 2011
It's possible.0 -
PAC lasts 30 days. You can take out a new contract with Orange but they wont port your number directly into it from another Orange PAYM account. You would need to port the number out of Orange (either to another network PAYG or GiffGaff) then port it back to Orange again. You're going to need to leave the number with the new network for a week or so before porting back to orange to ensure systems have updated. I did this with the wife's number last year. Bit of a faff but got there in the end.0

Thanks, I might try ringing them again, to see if I get a better off with a different person, but not holding my breath.

I've been offered 400mins , unlimited text, 500mb with a samsung galaxy ace2 for £8/month 24months contract. This includes a loyalty reward rolled in.
I was going to leave as I'm losing my free broadband and I'm paying £11 at the moment for 400mins and unlimited text but no data.
I think this seems a good deal but if you are prepared to mess about with redemptions I've seen a deal on e2save for the same allowances for £36/ 24months, which works out @ £1.50/month.This deal doesn't include a galaxy ace.
Has anyone had any dealings or problems with e2save recently?0 -
mister just request your code and see wot they offer you thats criminal wot theyre trying to charge thatWhat goes around-comes around0

They offered me my PAC code immediately too - they did not even try to retain me (I've been with Orange since 2005). Stopping the free home broadband was what prompted me to change. I've ordered my unlock code for my iPhone and will activate my Giff Gaff sim when code arrives.0

I'm currently at the end of an 18-month Dolphin contract with 200 mins, 500mb data, unlimited texts for £15 a month. I'm happy with my existing plan, I just wanted a free new handset.
When I spoke to disconnections this afternoon, as per Sherpa's experience above, I was offered my PAC code straight away. When I said that it was disappointing I wasn't being offered a good offer to stay (been with Orange since 2006), they asked what phone I wanted and the best they offered me was:
Samsung Galaxy SII (i.e. not even the latest one) for £74.99 on panther 20 with 100 mins, 500mb data, unlimited texts for £20.50 a month. I explained that Phones4u do the same deal with a free handset but they refused to match that and have put me on the standard 30 day notice.
