For the REAL unlimited mobile data I'd pay Virgin £7 more or as a Virgin Media customer £3 more than Orange for the same deal at £20SO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... You will be leaving the UK aswell as Europe0 -
Wait for them to call you back, you should get a better offer from them. In the meantime have look at what you can get a S3 for from another network on moneysupermarket, o mio and uswitch, this will help when you're negotiating with Orange.
So I did get the phone call a bit earlier.
Didn't offer me much better tbh so I said no thanks. Do they ring again or is that it?0 -
That's it, they won't ring back. Find a deal you want on the sites posted above and use your PAC 2-3 days before it expires.0

The fair usage policy (dated before June 2012?) states 1GB data and 3000 texts. So not unlimited. I'm still getting more for what i have. There is no mention of anything after that. It's unclear here.0 -
They probably haven't updated their website, networks aren't allowed to call things unlimited when there's actually a limit any more.0

When did this change come in? in the past the ASA has ruled it's perfectly fine for them to do that.0 -
You're right, they can use the term 'unlimited' as long as there is no limit on the amount of data you can use although they can still cut you off if you're using too much and having a negative effect on the network as in giffgaffs case.
It's the term 'truly unlimited' they can't use whilst placing restrictions on what you can use the data for.0 -
Was on
£28 per month for 900 mins, 500mb and unlimited texts for a 18 month contract.
Was offered by Orange Upgrades £36 pm for 24 month contact, 2gb data, unlimited text and internet with £30 for Galaxy S 3.
I asked for my PAC code and the next day received the last final call from Orange Retentions.
The lady offered me
24 month contract, Free SGS3 with Unlimited Text, Internet and Calls for £31 pm.
Really happy and decided to take it.0 -

Both of which (in my mind) both mean limited as they have either a FUP (in which after reaching that point you are throttled/capped/suspended), or cause a "negative effect" and one of the previous limitations is imposed.
Therefore, both are limited. They are just fuzzy as to where exactly the limits come into play.0 -
It makes the ASA look completely toothless when they can't see that something with limits of any kind should not be described as 'unlimited'. It has taken many years for the Oxford English Dictionary to become as fat as it is today, there are a significant number of alternate words that companies could be using to accurate describe their packages.0
