Just managed to get Dolphin 25 with 200 minutes and unlimited texts as well as 4MB of data with a free Nokia N82 for £19 a month - not too shabby...

Called Orange and told them I wanted to reduce my £30 a month to £15 a month what could they offer?

They came back with unlimited texts, 400 mins, keep my 4 magic numbers (and get a new one every 6 months) for £15 a month - reduced to £10 a month for the first 6 months. AND a new phone

    Thank you Orange!

My son is paying large sums to Orange monthly, ie £100/£150/£175 and £180 are some of his monthly bills! I am trying to get him to reduce his outlay by using his phone less or swithching his package. I went into an Orange shop today and asked for help and I gave them my sons number and they looked at his bills to see where he is spending the money.
He uses 500 mins per month on calls, 400 texts per month but he also uses 16 megs/gig or whatever it's called, of internet use.

They informed me that his contract expires in 148 days and he can change then.

Could he change his package now and reduce his bills to £40 - £50 PM?

    Any advice welcomed!

ps, I hope this is the correct place for this.

Having looked at the tariffs on orange it would appear that the Dolphin 40 suits his needs, this offers
    • 18
      months
    • 750
      anytime minutes
    • unlimited
      texts
    • Unlimited Mobile browsing
    In store price:

    £40
    Online price:

    £35

Now I think that with his spending history he would easily get this sub £30 by way of going through retentions.at the end of his contract. It may be an option to pay off the remainder of his contract due to the high bills and start a new contract. give Orange a ring and see what they will do.

What tarrif is he on at the mo?

If it's the web that is pushing him over, tell him to call up and get the unlimited web bolt on for £8pm, and you get something like 30MB included in that £8.

I used 6MB last month and paid £17, so I'm moving to an unlimited package due to that.

It is the web thats pushing him into an extra £50 to £70 PM! I have suggested that he calls Orange asap and talk about his plan.
