Orange Retention Offers

That is a good deal RICARDOMINSKI. As I was offered the exact same deal but £25 for 9 months and £30 for remaining 9 months.
I'm currently on Dolphin 35 with a 2000 loyality minute bonus - yet my bills range £40 - £80 as I do MMS, Data etc. So them offering you £25pm for that deal is good, hence why I said no to them - I realise now that the deals they're offering me are just awful compared to others.
I've ordered a free SIM for T-Mobile and O2 so I can check their strengths etc and then I'm going to switch unless Orange can come up with the goods.
the 2000 extra mins deal I have was renewed last year Sep, I made sure it was for the new contract 18months & it ran out a few months ago & a hefty bill popped through the door Premier customer care were saying no it ran out & I told the nice lady I knew the T&C of upgrading ( with no handset ) meant I tied myself into another 18 months of broadband & I clarified over several calls I would only accept that IF my contrcat was the same as now, she applied my 2000 again & sent bill off for recalculation......so retentions cant renew the 2000 as it was removed from thier systems but premier customer care can everyoneSO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... You will be leaving the UK aswell as Europe0 -
well i phoned to cancel today and they were quite happy to see the back of me as far as my mobile contract was concerned. The, admittedly, very nice girl I spoke to, wasn't able to make any kind of offer to me. I'm on £35 month contract (500m/500txts) which is far more than i need. Also pay £5 per month for weekend/evening internet and have the £5 unlimited broadband deal. Told them I was looking at the simplicity deals from O2 as I couldn't justify the high expense of this contract and they agreed and said we'll send you your PAC asap. She then put me through to Indian call centre to get MC for the internet.
This was the weird bit. I was put on hold 3 seperate times before being transferred to broadband retentions, who were fairly aggressive in their attempts to keep me. They offered me 6 months free broadband but when I asked them to clarify the terms, I found out my 'unlimited' usage was being limited to 10gb a month! Told the CS guy that I needed more than that and O2 Broadband was unlimited and he tried to tell me that there wasn't much difference between a fair use policy of 40GB plus, and 10gb. Refused his offer and finally he agreed to send me my MAC.
What I don't understand is that my phone contract is for £40 and I barely use any of my allowance yet I pay them £5 for broadband which I absolutely cane the usage out of, and yet it is the broadband they are desperate for me to stay with????
Very strange.....
call back ask another.....i got Dolphin35 Direct ( 600 mins & unlimited texts ) discounted to £15 or a Nokia N95 free.....I took the discount, 18 months £5 BB aswell & the 2000 mins re-applied last year....think you got a jobsworth
Say you like Orange but look about at deals with other networks before you call, be plesant, charming and make the call personal to whom you talk to " sounds busy there today, hows your day going, nice day herewhat about where you are ? etc, etc......SO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... You will be leaving the UK aswell as Europe0 -
I guess it depends on who u get really. The last guy I spoke to wouldnt re-apply my 2000 loyalty minutes-which have now expired. He even offered me a deal that was £5 more expensive a month. He told me the best deal he could offer was £25-£30pm, but minus the loyalty minutes etc
I'm going to ring back in a week when I get my bill to see how many mins I use now that I'm off the 2000 loyalty-the guy I spoke even said that my Magic numbers would be taken off as well!! Yet if I went into a store as a new cust,I could get what am on now with a good phone AND £150 credit to my account-really does make u wonder sometimes.0 -
Do Orange take into account your monthly spending with them before they decide which deals to offer you?
My 18 month contract with Orange is up and contacted them (cancellations dept - and said I was going pay as you go) to see if they could match my brothers deal which he had from the Orange cancellations dept last week.
My brothers monthly bills were around £40 per month where as mine are around £25. On his deal he got a new Samsung Soul phone for free, and the Dolphin 35 deal (600 mins and unlimited texts) with a £15 discount per month but tied into another 18 month contract. So in total with his insurance was £21 per month.
When I asked for this deal I was told I was not spending enough and the system would not allow them to match the deal?
Is this correct or a they just fobbing me off?
FYI - I was offered a Samsung Soul phone for free, and 350 mins and 250 texts for £25 with free insurance on a new 18 month contract.
Is this a good deal?0 -
I am out of contract with Orange (by about 3 mths) and currently receive 500 mins (any network / time) for £25, and I also pay for 100 texts at £5. My bills total between £40 and £45. I have only ever had a 12 mth contract, and would not go for longer.
I normally upgrade within 6 mths, but I like the N95 I have now, and I've been holding out for the N96. However it now looks like this won't be out until at least October.
I have read a little in this forum about SIM-only deals. Is this a good idea (if I'm happy with my current phone). Also, if I take 1 of these deals, will I still get a good upgrade deal when the N96 comes out?
Thanks
EDIT: I have spoken to retentions again, they offered me 450mins + 250 texts for £20, SIM-only. Does anyone know if they will add any extras with these deals etc?0 -
Im still on the old...yes very old Orange Everyday 50 tariff. My contract ended last week and I was offered this irresistable deal by Oraange to stay with them for another 18 months:...
Still on the same Everyday 50 tariff.....but I get a Free Nokia N82 Mobile with a BlueTooth headeset for free..plus a £5 month discount off my line-rental, which with the discount comes to about £11 a month rental. BTW my average spend is about £18 a month.
I also have another no with orange which Im paying £30 a month for and get 500 mins. But my avaerage monthly spend is about £40 on this one. They have offered me the Nokia Arte phone for £50 on this - do u think I shuld take this deal.....?0 -
RICARDOMINSKI wrote: »Contract finishes on July 26th, called Orange to confirm the date and was offered 600 mins/unlimited texts (Dolphin 35) and Nokia N95 8gb for £25 per month eighteen month contract. Normal monthly spend £45, how does this sound?
I just got Dolphin 35 plus 400 retention mins and a Nokia 95 8 gb for £30 per month. I had to pay £50 for the phone. So for an extra £5 per month plus £50 you can have another 400 mins. Just ask. My spend was about £30 average.
Just got my phone yesterday......nothing.0 -
my OH had renewals/retentions ring him the other day, about three months from the end of his contract. They asked him what he wanted - he said N95 8GB.Got it for free, they asked anything else? He was on a promotional canary £40 plan with 700 min and 400 texts, unlim eve/weekend to orange calls.
Now is on 800 min, 400 texts, unlimited anytime orange to orange, for £31.
I' going to ring up in near future to change from PAYG to PAYM, after the same phone, on the dolphin £35 plan. Hopefully i''ll get discount. in store eventually offered it for £31 with old phone traded in.

page 19 - get the 250MB internet bolt on if your spending more than £8 a month on data, then email pics
Just had a barney with ORANGE,they only give the 250mb for £8 if you're on(or change to) Panther plans. I said its very misleading but the woman wouldn't pursue the matter any further..............
As you can imagine I am not a happy camper!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I pay £8 for 30MB.....0
