Wow. That looks better than what they are offering me. Is that because the N95 8gb is a more expensive phone or am I just no good at haggling :rolleyes:0 -

My oh has just got a similar deal to disney_cjd. He had not renewed contract or phone for a long time and this months bill was £25 and he had only made 10 mins of calls and 5 texts. (he'd paid for the texts!). Decided it was time to switch to pay as you go as this was clearly no longer worth it. So he was put through to upgrades. They offered him a Motorola V8 (he wants to keep his old phone so wasn't bothered) 300 mins to any mobile, unlimited calls to landlines, 100 texts a month for £10 month. And because he has a load of loyalty points he will get a 10 % discount which according to the bloke would bring it down to about £8. (Think 10% off £10 will make it £9 myself, but hey who am I to quibble I only teach maths!) And the phone is his to do with what he will, so if he doesn't use it we can sell it on. He is tied in for 18 months, but we now get 18 months for the price of 7 on the old tarriff so well chuffed.Newbie thread: go to the top of this page and find these words: Main site > MoneySavingExpert.com Forums > Household & Travel > Motoring > Parking Tickets, Fines & Parking. Question for Toontastic (sorry I keep seeing people aiming questions at you!!!) or anyone else who can help..... My friend upgraded in December and got a new 12 month contract with 2000 loyalty minutes, 900 normal minutes, 100 text and free phone insurance for £45 a month- yep, back when they did great deals!!!!:rotfl: Well last week he opened his bill, and found out that they had charged him over £300... he called up and found out that his 2000 extra minutes has ended in March... they said something about them running from his old contract, but not being added onto his new one. The said they should have been at most for 6 months, so he argued with them for a while, and they are refusing to re-calculate his bill and give him his money back. They are saying that he should have called them in March when the minutes finished and now it is too late to do anything about it. He is speaking with someone in retentions who is offering him £100 "goodwill" credit, and £20 discount on his line rental, which will stay on their until he upgrades... Looking back over his bills for the last 3 months he thinks that they have taken around £450 that they shouldn't have. Does anyone have any advice on what he can do???? He has tried Ofcom, but you can't formally start dispute with them until 12 weeks after the problem arises and while it remains unsorted his bill is going to still be high as they are refusing to put the 2000 minutes back on his account.... sorry for the long post, any help appreciated. thanks0

December for 12 months is not March so thats not consistant onOrange's behalf
12 weeks since March is end of June at the latest so I'd take it to OTELO NOW!!
I am aware of someone who had the same problem & confirmed with rententions over numerous calls the same broadband & mobile package were available for 18 months as they knew signing the mobile upgrade the BB package was extended 18 months, they had the same problem but spoke to Premier disputing the contract was agreed " as is currently for a further 18 months "
" as is " meaning as priceplan/bundles are prior to the early upgrade, Premier promtly re-applied the 2000 till end of 18 months contract agreed to, the bill recalculation was another matter with Premier chasing Billing Integrity for almost 2 months I believe ! ( non facing customer departments are customers & front line staffs vain in the arseo )
Premier tried to say it was an error on customers behalf & customer stated they knew all the T&C of the " convergement " and over several calls confirmed all this with retentions & at no point did retentions say the 2000 deal would run out on .... date, anyhow if they have access to Premier they may get it sorted as all 150 can do is ask retentions as 150 cannot access these 2000 bundles , Premier can though
failing that 12 months is Dec to Dec, Dec to March is 4 months - not even say Dec 06 to March 08 is 12 months & i'd say go to Otelo as thats proof of Orange's inconsistant claim " they ran out after 12 month contract & dropped off the a/c "SO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... You will be leaving the UK aswell as Europe0
