  • I phoned orange last night and was put through to retention's:

    24 month contract
    500 mins
    1.25GB data
    unlimited texts
    unlimited WiFi BT openzone
    2 orange swapables
    £16 a month
    £40 for the S3

Or I could have had the same deal above with a free One x

I had accumulated a lot of loyalty discount, just shows you need to get put through to retention's.

I dont think many people should get excited at the thought of getting it for £16 a month - I'd settle for a decent allowance and around the £30 mark. Would save changing and losing the magic numbers etc.

My sister lives in Dubai and I had 3 phone bills in the excess of £100. The first person i spoke to wasn't helpful at all. But the second women in retention's was really helpful. We where thrashing out different deals for 2 hours lol

How long after requesting your PAC is it before retentions call you (if they do)?

You guys have managed some good deals. The 16 pound one seems like a scorcher.

I previously got equivalent to the full monty deal on t-mobile with orange when I upgraded my iphone 3gs to a 4s last november (before the full monty deals were actually announced....i wanted to get an android phone but the deal was too good to be true at the time and only available with a 4s)

My second contract (used by my partner) is up next week. I had a few discussions with "upgrades" and they were offering the standard deals on the website but with the galaxy s3 phone for free and throwing in photo messaging. I didn't feel it was good enough

I then requested my PAC code and was put to the disconnections team. I was then offered the following deal which i accepted.

    Free samsung galaxy s3
    3000 minutes
    3000 texts
    3gig internet
    30 photo messages
    33.50 a month for 2yr contract

I'm sure you could probably do better if you got your pac and waited for retentions to call you back but I didn't want the hassle this time round as retentions would call on the number of that phone which my partner has so she wouldn't really thrash out a deal like I would, so it was too much hassle to try and organise it.

Just to add, her original contract was an iphone one and bills were between £40-50 a month.

    Hope that helps someone.

Has anyone got a "free" Galaxy S3 and a 12 month contract?

I'm sure you could but you would probably have to pay at least 50-60 per month. Remember the phones are not really "free" the network has to get back the cost somehow
