Wasted a day off work waiting for the Handset to arrive. No apology from Orange at all. Terrible service.
Got a text saying my Blue upgrade was delayed. They phoned today to say it was 30 days. Was offered a move to a white one but it will be at least 10 days for that. No offer of any compensation and my tariff takes effect from the 22nd despite not getting the phone (no compensation since to quote the rep "its only an upgrade" despite my monthly payments going up £15).
I'm away for the last 2 weeks in June so probably sticking with the blue one and getting it when I get back from my holiday but after the attitude of the Orange rep on the phone tempted to just cancel, get a PAC and then see whats on offer.2025: 3xBluRay, £750, Book
2024: £125, 3xCD, 2xBooks, BluRay, 1 Vinyl, Game,
2023: Garment Bag, Perfume, £100,TortillaChips,Rituals Set, Book, BluRay.
2022: Mobile Phone, Earbuds, Hair stuff, Book, DVD, Stampsx2.
Biggest - £1000 cash, Holiday, KenwoodChef, 2xMobiles, Hotel+Gig, Wii, 2xTVs, £500 voucher, Tree(!), Jewellery0 -
Does anyone know what has happened to the retentions option when you phone 150? It doesn't seem to be there. When you press "4" for upgrades it used to say "or if you are thinking of leaving Orange" it now says "to upgrade your phone or if you are approaching the end of your contract and want to discuss your options press 4"
I hear from other forums that Orange Retentions are getting tougher. Perhaps it's time that I just move to Three...Moneysaving since 2004!0 -
Just try the your at the end of your contract one and say you want discuss your options or request your PAC0

They've definitely removed the "retentions" option from 150, but the upgrades department always was the same department as upgrades.
I can confirm that (at least from my experience) they seem to have clamped down on good deals. When I phoned on behalf of my mum, they weren't able to offer any decent deals at all.
Looks like I won't be on Orange for much longer.Moneysaving since 2004!0 -
Orange have just called me and offered me the following:-
Galaxy S3 free
1000 mins
unlimited txts
1Gb internet
2 swapables
£36 a month for 24months
or
HTC One X free
600 mins
unlimited txts
750mb internet
£31 a month 24 months
my contract ends 21/08/2012 but if I was to take one of the above deals it would be a new 24 month deal starting today not added on to my contract end date. Guy also told me I could lower my tariff after 12mths.
Not sure if I should wait until the end of august to try and get a better deal.0 -
Thing to do is check your account and see how much you actually use. My OH was told she used about 600 mins a month and while thats true - at least 400 of that is magic numbers so she could get by on considerably less provided she stayed with Orange.
as to whether its a good deal - check out moneysupermarket.com and search for whats available for the S3. Note that a lot of places are struggling for stock on the S3 so it would be worth clarifying if they have it in stock if you are considering accepting the deal.0 -

Yes they have it in stock, the guy is calling me back tomorrow said he would be able to deliver on Friday. Just looking on quido I can get £150 cash back from them through Orange on the following deal:-
Exclusive £150 cashback on the Samsung Galaxy SIII Panther Extra £36 for a 24 month tariff with no additional cost. Get 1000 mins, unlimited texts and WiFi and 1GB data for effectively £29.75 after cashback
so looks like the deal Im being offered isn't really that good. Might as well keep my current deal until end of Aug and see what offers are around then and cancel if need be.0 -
i would wait the deals will be better in acouple of months-and also people were told they were in stock only to be rung up next days saying they had run out just to try and make u take the dealWhat goes around-comes around0

I agree, the only good thing about their offer is that it would be a new contract starting from today, not added on to the end of the contract like they used to do.0

i called today and got a sim only deal.
£7 for 12 month contract, was 150mins/500 texts and 250mb but got extra 100mins and 250mb data as a loyalty reward. I use far less than this most months and never spent more than my previous £28per month tarrif. so am happy with this.0
