yes james thats right
you might get them phoning you offering you something else/better but jsutwait and see
3 months before they never give u a great deal as its jsut an upgrade incentive to keep you for another 24/18 monthsWhat goes around-comes around0 -
Hi Custardy and gabbyevs
Thank you for both of your replies. I appreciate I'm quite early into the negotiation process. I've previously received deals that beat new customer deals around this stage of the upgrade process so that was the only reason I tried yesterday. Am going to play the game slightly longer this time.
18m*£26= £468 = 24m*£19.5 which is essentially the new customer o2 deal (I know your upgrade offer was 800minutes but I really would never need that many). Be interesting to see what they can do closer to expiry time. P4U advised me I'm in band 3 (and on the cusp of the next best band which is a shame!)0 -
no worries id definitely wait till the end of the contract to try and negotiate a bit moreWhat goes around-comes around0

No S2's in stock for orange for at least 7-10 days
Great guess that means they won't honour my renwell offer then.0 -

has anyone tried to haggle with orange retentions quoting the full monty deal? i got offered either a £46 pm with unlimited everything and a free phone of my choice or £36 pm with unlimited calls and texts and 500gb data with free phones or £99 for iphone 4s 16gb. this is good however i am slightly p'd off as I have been spending over £100 per month for last few months and apparently my loyalty bonus is massive however they will not offer me anything above and beyond their stock full monty equivalent deals!
anyone have any suggestions on how to improve this?
thanks
As i mentioned a few pages back I basically got the full monty deal with orange back in november. However i didn't really have to haggle, they basically offered it to me. I wanted an android phone but they couldn't do decent deals on it, but they said i could have an iphone 4s for £60 and a monthly tariff for £36 with 2200mins, unlimited landlines, data, texts, tethering (plus the standard magic numbers), but i don't know if they were only offereing it for a limited time.
This was thru retentions though. Upgrades don't come close.
Good luck!0 -
p4u have their own stock and availability usually a bit better than orange itself
if its jsut an upgrade you wont get much leeway with them
go through p4u to upgrade and get the phone you want dont be talked into something else
Thanks for the advice! Contacted phones4u and after about 45 mins on the phone and speaking to various managers i managed to get the bold 9900 for £25 a month on a 24-month contract with 500 minutes, unlimited texts, 500mb data and free bt-openzone wifi access. They've also promised to buy out the remainder of my contract after 18 months should i decide to stay with them (i made sure to get a reference number for the call and the managers name an details). They did try nd push me into getting the torch 9810 by offering £100 cashback and panther swappables such as a free sky sports subscription, but i was determined to get the bold0 -
