  • has anyone tried to haggle with orange retentions quoting the full monty deal? i got offered either a £46 pm with unlimited everything and a free phone of my choice or £36 pm with unlimited calls and texts and 500gb data with free phones or £99 for iphone 4s 16gb. this is good however i am slightly p'd off as I have been spending over £100 per month for last few months and apparently my loyalty bonus is massive however they will not offer me anything above and beyond their stock full monty equivalent deals!

anyone have any suggestions on how to improve this?

    thanks

    infiniti,

Despite several phone calls to Orange over the past few days, best I have been able to get them to agree to is same as you i.e. £36pm for Unlimited calls and texts. 500mb data (I assume you mean 500mb and not 500gb ?? !!) and 4S for £99. However, when I mentioned moving to T-Mobile as possible £50 cashback on sites for new contract, they also offered 1 month free i.e. a £36 credit on my account, not much of an improvement, but better than nothing.
  • Am only 1 week into my final 3 months. Rang Orange upgrade department. Currently ave Galaxy S 200mins ultd texts and 500mb net for £24.20/month (after discount). Was offered £26 for 200mins, ulmt texts and 750mb (24 month contract) for Galaxy S2. The Orange Rep said with my discount that's £23.40 per month incl VAT. That usage is fine for me and despite never having had a 24 month contract I'm prepared to enter one to continue my low cost per month. Omio and Moneysupermarket don't have any new customer deals for the S2 on 18 month contracts with my usage for below £31 / month.

I quoted the O2 deal on the P4U website (same usage on 24 months contract for £21.50/month + £50 TCB) but they said that was the best they can do.

I have been with Orange all my mobile life and don't find that offer unreasonable but like everyone at the moment, saving a few quid a month is important. I declined their offer.

I'm prepared to leave to go for the o2 deal to get both the cashback and lower montly cost. Can I just confirm the process of changing...?

30 days before my contract fully expires, I ring Orange to request my PAC code. Then as close to the end of my contract as I'm prepared to risk the PAC expiring, I take up the new deal and provide the place I'm buying from with my PAC code. The use of my PAC code then automatically terminates my contract 30 days after it was originally requested?

    Thanks
