Just been offered.
Blackberry Bold 9900 free
500 mins
Unlimited text
500mb web + BB bolt on
18 month @ £30 month.
Thought it was quite good, considering cost of handset.
But never dealt with Orange retentions before.
Was my 1st call, are they likely to get a better offer if I reject this.
Does have to BB9900 though.0 -
Sorry to be naive, but how do you all get to the stage where you're discussing retention deals rather than just discussing standard upgrades with the run-of-the-mill sales person? My upgrade date is in May sometime but am dying to upgrade to get a Samsung Galaxy SII, so may buy out the remainder of the contract. Best I've seen was £26 at Orange with 200 minutes but somebody above seems to have haggled 400mins?! How?? maybe I'm not good enough at bartering!6k in 2012: £4200.00/£6000.00
6k in 2013: £8209.62/£6000.00
7k in 2014: £5900/£70000 -
you need to tell them you're cancelling your contract (assuming that you're at the end of your minimum term) - get your PAC, and sit tight for retentions to call you.0

as tony says you need to tell them youre leaving they put you through and try to give u a deal to keep you
but you wont be able to do that until mayWhat goes around-comes around0 -
It's an option on the Customer Services menu, something like 'If you're coming to the end of your contract and want to discuss your options', sounds right that you need to be in the last month or two, don't expect to get through quickly though0

Currently have SE W995
24 month contract up on 16 Feb
400 mins
300 texts
Unlimited landlines
Magic numbers
no data
£22/month ( don't usually go over )
First offer from Retentions
Samsung galaxy S2 (free)
900 X network mins ( so that includes landlines)
Unlimited texts
250 MB data
Magic numbers
£ 31 /month for 24 months
Will let them think about it for a day or two.
TBH if they threw in the landlines I might be tempted.
All advice/comments gratefully received,

I don't think that 250mb is enough to be honest. I'm currently a relatively modest user of data as working a lot from home so using wifi most of the time. I still manage to reach about 300mb though.
Personally, I think you could do better.0 -
i would ask for more data on that bundle bobWhat goes around-comes around0
