Orange Retention Offers

And dont forget to make sure that any price you agree includes the increase they are forcing on everyone currently - I agreed to my new contract about 4 weeks ago and am annoyed that they are increasing the price already.0

So it seems I'm in a good position, having been with Orange for about 10 years and a real money-spinner for them.I'm keen on an Iphone 4 (not 4S) which should help a bit. I suspect i'll need to wait till nearer 4 March before things get really good (or maybe not ?), but I'll let you know what they start the bidding at tomorrow.0

Yes, no joy with the Iphone this far away from the end of contract.
But I got a free Samsung Galaxy S2 with 400 minutes, unlimited texts, 750mb broadband and 2 swapables for £26 pcm - and I get to retain my free home broadband. Plus I can reduce the monthly cost by a further £5 in a years time if I'm not using my allowances up every month.

that seems quite good if youre still 3 months away from the end of your contractWhat goes around-comes around0

Yes, that's what I thought. I spoke briefly to someone somewhere in the sub-continent and then the retentions team.
My advice is still to hang on as long as you can, then the odds should start shifting in your favour. But an early call can also yield results. :j

hmm, as of yesterday I'm due an upgrade. I rang Orange and they offered me that deal for 27.50 which is what you'd get online because of a 10% loyalty bonus.
Phones4u have said I can upgrade onto their 28.50 panther plan, which is Panther 36, and thats 600 minutes, 3000 texts and 1gb internet with 2 swapables. It might not be the best deal in terms of waiting until the contracts almost up, but tbh it's twice the minutes I have now, 1.50 cheaper than what I pay atm and my current phone is an almost dead W995. So I'm going to take the Phones4U deal, although I'll call Orange on Monday just to see if they want to compete with it.0 -
I'm a low usage Dolphin customer at the moment, looking to upgrade from an HTC Hero. Problem is I'd like a Galaxy Nexus. Just spoke to Customer Services and they aren't offering that model yet.
I got offered an SII with 400 minutes, unltd texts and 750mb for £26/m (the new £25/m) and no handset fee. This seems like the relatively standard offer.

they dont do deals on the iphone even if youre already with them
Not strictly true.
I this month (as i have already listed in the thread) received the following deal direct from orange retentions for the 16gb Iphone 4s
£36 a month (24 month contract)
2200 x-net minutes
Unlimited Texts
Unlimited land lines
Unlimited data (+wifi)
(+ standard magic numbers)
The phone cost was £60.
I haven't really seen a better deal than that considering the huge number of minutes.0 -
well apart from that maybe its just a retnetions thing but i havent heard anybody else getting a flexible deal with an iphoneWhat goes around-comes around0

I'm able to upgrade from Sunday. What are the chances of getting a Samsung Galaxy S2 this early on? Ideally I want to spend about £20-£25 a month. Currently have a Desire on 18 months with 300 mins, Unlim texts and 500MB internet for £27. I've had significantly higher phone bills during 4 months of the 18, so not sure if this will help.0
