Orange Retention Offers

I then asked him to confirm the entire package I've been given and apart from the missing messages everything appeared ok until it came to the cost - seems that its £15.00 on the system. I've asked him to look into it and if it cant be resolved to exactly £7.52 that I wanted the upgrade call reviewed by a manager. Had to leave it there but will be phoning back tomorrow to discuss it further. If be its not resolved then I'll be kicking up a bug fuss this time. Will need to do a little research on my rights to cancel everything and walk away so I use that as a bargaining tool at the very least.
I had this at the start of my contract. I got the package I wanted and agreed to £17 a month, which was a blinding offer at the time for the phone I had.
my other half said she wanted me to take another line out for her with the same phone and price plan. Called up.. "No, your price plan is £17 PLUS internet at £5." Which is a load of **** as the person I took it out with deffo said it was all included.
Took me a solid hour of arguing "There's no way you could of possibly got it for that price" "The system won't allow it" etc. But she gave in eventually after she realised I wouldn't give up.
I suppose my advice is don't give up if they have screwed it up. They will do anything to get more money out of you :mad:This thread has me so pumped, I headbutted my dog and we both screamed.0 -
I didn't really get as far as arguing about it but I do expect it to honoured. I'll be phoning up on the way home and unfortunately for Orange I have a 2 hour commute so I can take a long time to discuss this.
The details of what were offered must be in the system so I'll see what they say. I'll update later on0 -
I'm trying to upgrade to the iphone 4S and they are offering:
£99 up front plus £36 per month for either 300 minutes, unlimited texts, 1GB data or 600 mins, unlimited texts, 500 MB data.
Alternative is £30 up front plus £41 for the same choice.
I've asked for the PAC code.
Currently been paying them £30 per month and out of contract. I did say I'd seen better on three, and they laughed, saying three need customers and they are not allowed to discount the iphone 4S. Then I said O2 were better and they said thats because they quote the data as an extra and in total they are the same.
Not getting anywhere fast at the moment. Will wait and see if they phone me back.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Can anyone confirm that Orange can NOT do any deals on the iPhone 4S?
The guy I spoke to in upgrades says no-one has or will get discount on them.

Doesn't look bad but as there are new phones coming out in the next fews days perhaps there are going to be better deals available on the S2 coming up? Best thing to do is use one of the comparison sites to see what else is available and then use that to drive a better bargain.0 -
Update on my situation - I phoned last night and spoke to a very helpful chap who managed to confirm that my contract is as promised although it took him a little time to figure out how the figure of £7.52 per month was going to be achieved. Still got some picture messages that have been charged for incorrectly they want to leave it until the billing date and then fix all billing related problems at the same time. Cant really argue with that and now have the additional picture messages too.
Cant complain too much0 -

I got an Iphone 4s for free on £31 a month contract, with 200 mins unlimited sms and 1gb data. It was through Buymobilephones.net though and not orange directly.0 -
Well i was thinking of leaving orange and im still wanting to leave them purely the cost each month is ridiculous when i can get a sim giffgaff for £10 which includes exactly what i want. I was offered either the samsung galaxy ace or the htc wildfire on a 24 month contract for about £15 a month. Im not interested in the wildfire but i was interested in the Ace but after readng some peoples comments about the battery life i dont think ill bother.0
