Orange Retention Offers

i got fed up with the poor orange rentention that they where offering me in respect of my contract that expired shortly and found out that in some case it worked out cheaper to take out a new contract over 18 month than deal with a renewd contract over 18 months and having to pay for the phone as well
so today have gone to vf for £50 for the phone and £36pm over 12 months which suits me fine0 -

Tbf if they keep making phones that cost as much it'l be 30/36 month contracts soon, I'm not too bothered about the 24 month contract, generally I look after my phones and have had my Sony Satio about 22 months and it's still in perfect working order. Infact it's been sent to Boots in the morning for £60 worth of advantage card pointsit'l get me some Christmas Presents.
The guy did say they'd brought down the price of the Galaxy over the weekend so may be worth a look to see how much it would cost on an 18 month contract. They offered me an Iphone for £60, that was 24 too though..The frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0 -
Finally agreed a deal with Orange tonight:
LG Optimus One
400 mins
300 texts
unlimited landlines
500Mb data
30 picture messages
18 month contract
£7.52 a month
Got 14 days to try the phone to see if I like it. Given my current phone is a SE W995 and it does me fine 99% of the time I'm sure I'll manage. At less that half the price of the Atrix I couldn't really refuse. If all else fails they are still selling for around £80-90 on Ebay0 -
I phoned Orange and the "offer" they gave was one I could get online!!!0

I would phone back and try again and if you dont get a decent offer then ask for your PAC code and look elsewhere. Always helps to have some idea of what you want before talking to them so check out what you can get from other providers before phoning.0

Just agreed this (i know its not amazing but the end of the contract isnt till feb 2012, so i wasn't going to get amazing offers!)
Previously I had;
Samsung S8300
200 minutes
Unlimited texts
£20 pm
Now i have
Sony Xperia Ray
325 mins (never go over my previous allowance of 200)
Unlimited Landlines
Unlimited Texts
800MB internet
18 months @ £24.75
I know its not amazing but it suits me down to the ground! I could have got the S2 for £29.50 pm but I dont want to spend that much pm.0 -
After not getting any calls from Orange since getting my PAK code I gave them a call to see when my month was up. The girl asked why I was leaving and I told her that they were not as competitive as others and that after 14 years they would not renew my loyalty discount.
She asked what they could do to make me stay and I told her what I wanted (not as much as some of the deals on these pages).
She said they could not match it and wished me well.
That's that then!
O2 it is.; and my girlfriend will be cancelling her orange contract too as we want to be with the same network. (I did mention this at the end of our chat but it made no difference).0 -

in hindsight im wondering now if ive got a bad deal
because you can get the xperia ray for free on dolphin 20 (£20 pm) so im paying an extra £4.75 for 125 extra mins and the 800MB of internet and the unlimited landlines and for it to be over 18 months rather than 24.....not sure if its £20 pm for 24 months though??
what do people think??0 -
Right, well after waiting 4 or 5 days since I requested my PAC code, nobody has been in touch so I rang them up again to see if anything had changed.
To which they replied they simply could not match the deal that I was being offered so off to T-Mobile I go. If it's any concelation the Orange advisor advised me that I would get the exact same quality of signal as Orange because the both use the same masts i.e. if I'm in an area with no Orange coverage, I would go on a T-Mobile mast and vice-versa.
Not what I expected from someone trying to keep me at Orange, but oh well!
Settled on a deal with Affordable Mobiles where I get...
Free Samsung Galaxy SII (Black)
18 months
500 minutes
600 texts
500MB internet
£23ish after cashback0 -
Since Orange & T-Mobile are owned by the same people I don't think it matters? Either way they're keeping your custom lolThis thread has me so pumped, I headbutted my dog and we both screamed.0
