Orange Retention Offers

After waiting another 20 minutes trying to get through to upgrades (there seems to be no number or option for cancellations) I tried the "new customer" number and got through in less than 10 seconds! (that shows how much Orange value their customers). I had had enough of small talk and just asked for my PAK code.
Looks like I am off to O2. Unless they call to offer me something fantastic they can go fish.0 -
To be honest I think you need a little patience when playing the retentions game. If they dont phone you and you want to speak to them - try phoning up and going through the billing query options as that seems to be reasonably quick to get answered. If you start the conversation in a hostile manner it probably wont go too well.0

They wouldn't offer me any kind of discount on the iPhone due to 'strict business policy'. No price matching, nothing, wouldn't even let me have a loyalty bonus =[
Asked to be disconnected and they didn't even try to keep me.0 -

I ordered an Iphone 4 16gb on Orange for free on £31 a month from buymobilephones.net last Thursday. On Friday they said they were out of stock and estimated wait was 3 weeks, So I cancelled the Order.
I got a call from them this morning say that the Iphone 4 is discontinued and instead I could have the Iphone 4s for free as a replacement. So i took it.
Saved £169 of the cost of the handset and am on a £31 a month tariff.0 -
I'm coming to the end of a 2 year iphone contract and my bills were between £40 and £60 per month. I don't want a new phone and was told the only sim only deal they could offer is 500 minutes, 100 texts and 250 mb of data per month for £20. if i want anymore i have to upgrade and take out another 2 year contract.0

Take a look at GiffGaff as they are getting a lot of sim only business. then once you have an idea what you can get you can go back to orange and use it to negotiate. I'm pretty certain any really good deals will involve signing up for a contract through.0

Samsung Galaxy s2
400 mins
Unltd texts
1.25 Gb data
Unlimited wifi- bt open zone
2 swapables
£16 per month for 18 months.
Gonna sell it for hopefully £300 and buy sensation xe sim free which would then work out about £20-£25 per month over 18 months depending on the price of the sensation xe.0 -
Thats a very good deal - what were you on previously?0

Think I was paying £36 same text and calls but only a miserable 80mb of data.0
