Is it possible to get a good deal on the iphone 4S. I have been with orange 5 years, and was hoping for some advice on getting a good deal for the iphone 4s? Thanks,0

My contract runs out at the end of the month. I currently have the iphone40. £40 a month on 18 month contract. I did pay for the iphone 3GS when I joined them. I get 900 mins and 500 texts, plus data (not sure how much).
I'd like another 18 month contract (not 24, I get bored after 12 months!) and I'd like to bring the monthly cost down. Any idea what I can realistically get out of them? I only switched to them from o2 18 months ago, after being with o2 since they were Genie.DD1 born 3/4/2011:happyhear

I was in the local Orange shop yesterday and was told that Apple will not allow any deals on the 4S for several months, even loyalty discounts on the tariff. So the answer is no, existing customers will get the published deal and no more0 -

I think you'll find it isn't Apple saying no discounts etc, but Orange themselves. Although Apple cannot dictate to UK companies what price to sell their products at, it can price the wholesale cost as such that it squeezes the margins unsustainably should a discount be offered.I spent 25 years in the mobile industry, from 1994 to 2019. Worked for indies as well as the big networks, in their stores also in contact centres. I also hold a degree in telecoms engineering so I like to think I know what I’m talking about 😂0 -
We've been with Orange for many years (before the extra "7" was added to the mobile area code!).
I'm happy with the phone I've got and have some spare ones too.
So we've gone to a SIM-only deal: 200 anytime mins (I've never used 100), unlimited anytime texts, magic numbers = £5/month.0 -
I have just got the S2 for no charge and £20.50 per month for 200 minutes unltd text and either 6 or 600 mb of internet.
I was expecting a fight for the s2 but no for charge i am very happy...
Orange must be having an off day because on my account page on the web site they wanted £100 for the phone and a £25 pm contract.Spending my time reading how to fix PC's,instead of looking at Facebook.0 -
thats interesting - I'm going to pone up on my way home and see what they will offer on it. I've got a bone to pick first regarding the credit I was meant to get which isn't on my account yet and hence I suspect not coming. Will argue first, then complain and then ask for deal0

Hello there,
My mother called Orange to leave (for GiffGaff) but was offered a new mobile at £8 per month on the Canary 10.50 package. I'm not quite sure I understand the Loyalty offers that have been applied on the account.- 100 Loyalty minutes for 24 mth
- 1000 Loyalty texts for 24mth
- Free 500MB mobile internet
These show up in her online account. Is this every month, or just some one off extras? Looking for advice of anyone else who has Orange loyalty deals...
Thanks :-)0 -
Normally the loyalty minutes are in addition to the standard contract amount on a monthly basis.
so if your standard contract was:
100 mins
100 texts
no data
then with teh above you would have:
200 mins
1100 texts
500Mb data
Generally what you'll find is that they will offer lots of something you dont really use. e.g. if you just make calls they might offer you 1000 texts and unlimited data as its unlikely that you'll make full use of them.0
