After 25 minutes on hold with Orange I got absolutely nowhere. Despite me finding free Samsung Galaxy SII phones for contracts around £23.50-£28 per month, they wouldn't give it to me any cheaper than £36.

Annoyingly, the best deal I found was through Phones4U and still with Orange for £23.50/month but for that I'd have to leave them and start a new contract, so I'd lose all my Magic Numbers etc anyway...and would have to transfer my number to a temporary PAYG sim and then back to the new contract again because I hear you can't transfer straight to a brand new contract with the same carrier? =/ Not sure if it's worth the hassle! Think I'll send off for a free PAYG SIM just in case and have a think.

Just got through after waiting 30 minutes.

Was offered £16 one off payment and then £30 a month for two years or £30 one off payment with £31 a month and could then possible change the plan after that. I mentioned the deal here at phones4u which was £23 a month and a free handset on orange with the same or better mins/text/internet which was actually cheaper to someone walking off the street than a loyal customer but seemed to have no effect.

I think it would actually work out cheaper for me to wait until my contract expired and then sign up again on the deal on the website which is likely to be even cheaper in three months.

    Bonkers really.

Got through to Phones4u and got a more competitive offer of £26 a month with better mins/txt and internet but it still doesn't match their offer on the website of
    Galaxy S2

    Orange Panther 26 - 24 Months
    200 mins
    3000 texts
    Includes 750MB Data Allowance
    FREE £23.50

    Maddening.

Just got off the phone with Orange upgrades.
Offered a Sensation for £25pm + an upfront payment of £46.
My contract has just expired and when I asked if I would still be receiving my £% loyalty discount I was told No!
I then asked what was their incentive for keeping customers as I has seen a much better deal elsewhere and was told this was the best they could do.
Will ring up and ask for my PAC code.
I have been with Orange for about 14 years; might not be with them much longer!

Just found this deal with e2save:

    TMobile

    18 month contract
    600 minutes
    Unlimited texts
    £30.64 pm
    £19.89 pm by redemption

Why do Orange insult long standing customers with such derisory offers?

Thinking of just cancelling now without listening to any offers I am so hacked off with their customer service!
