Orange Retention Offers

  • First call, not really any haggling, got offered:

    18 months,
    600m
    unlim texts
    1.5gb internet

    £120 phone
    £25pm

This seems quite good! Though I didn't go to retentions, do you think that I could get a little more off the up-front price if I pushed it?

What is the 'best' phone on the market, in your opinions, now?

    Hi what a great site.:)

Just thought i let you know what deal i got in the end. I must of rang at least 5 different times over the weekend and every time got offered a different deal.So if you not happy with the offer they give you then just ring back

Deal i went for in the end.

    24 month contract £20 a month
    £99.99 phone cost

    Galaxy Samsung S2

    300 mins
    unlimited text
    750MB
    50 photo messages
Free access to BT Openzone Wi-Fi*
    Push Email
    Magic numbers

Mins are not important to me could of had an extra 200 mins on the same deal but you lose the wifi and 50 photo messages.
  • Hi everyone,

Just wanted your advice on my situation: I've been on an Orange contract for 13 months now, it's a Sim-Only "Canary 20" contract with the following:

    600 minutes
    Unlimited Texts

The contract is supposed to be £20 a month, however I have frequently spent more than this (mostly on data charges), my bills are averaging around £25 a month.

I'm really interested in getting a new phone, preferably the HTC Desire S- however I'm not sure what chance I have at getting an upgrade? It's essential that I keep my number and the best case scenario would be to get the following for £20 a month:

    HTC Desire S for free
    600 minutes
    Unlimited Texts
    Internet Allowance

If anyone could give me advice as to whether this is realistic, and how to go about getting an upgrade then I'd be really grateful, I'm quite new to the whole "changing contracts" business so any tips would be helpful!

unless things have changed since i last got a phone then no chance-id say the least if you were lucky would be 25 and that would be on a 24 month contract-i was always going over on myn ormal 18 month contract and they werent interested in giving me much in the way of a discount

but hey i could be wrong and you could get a really nice person at retnetions whos in a good mood

    I just got the following offer from orange;

    1000 mins
    1500 texts
    1GB

    For 18 months at £20 a month
    Phone - Samsung Galaxy SII

One off payment for the phone - £25.

I dont think this can be beaten, so I think I should take it up, or does someone have a better offer.

    I've been Money Tipped!
They've refused to give me anything :(, obviously not worth it to them to keep me
