  • I was told on the phone this afternoon that Orange will have 5000 S2's delivered tomorrow.

I was offered Galaxy S2 24mths, 700 mins, u/l text, 750mb data, 50 mms, sat nav £28. I didn't think this was bad so have accepted, now just waiting for the text so I can phone and finalise.
  • Hi

Thought I'd post as I checked this thread a couple of times whilst considering my upgrade. I've just got the Samsung Galaxy S2 through orange on a 24 month contract for £15 a month. Includes:

400 minutes (any time and network)
    1200 texts
    unlimited free landline calls
    internet (500 MB a month)

You need to get through to the retention people to get the best offers, just tell customer services when you call that you want to cancel your contract and they'll put you straight through.

P.S. just got the phone yesterday and its ace!

    Drop a brand challenge
on a £100 shop you might on average get 70 items save
    10p per product = £7 a week ~ £28 a month
    20p per product = £14 a week ~ £56 a month
30p per product = £21 a week ~ £84 a month (or in other words one weeks shoping at the new price)

My contract is up in just over a month and I called to ask if I could give notice now or would I have to wait until 02/07/11 (contract ends 02/08/11)

I was offered the Samsung Galaxy Ace on the following:
1300 x-net mins, 1300 txt, Unltd landline calls, 500mb data - 24 mth contract: £22/mth (no charge for phone)
    or
1100 x-net mins, 1100 txt, Unltd landline calls, 500mb data - 18 mth contract: £23/mth (no charge for phone)

I am currently on a 18 mth £35 mth contract which has 10% loyalty discount for 700 x-net mins, 100 txt, unltd landline calls, no data. I have a HTC Hero. Orange will be calling me back tomorrow so I'm going to have a look into whether I can get the 18mth package cheaper with another provider, if not, I may just stick with Orange but try and get them to do it for £20-£22/mth and lower the x-net/txt but increase the data.

Is the Galaxy better than HTC?
I can say whatever I like here ... 'cos no one can see me .. ner ner ner ner ner !!!....

How do you know I ain't sitting here butt naked?!?!

I thunk I've made you think for a minute!

Called up retentions this afternoon threatening to leave. Asked for Samsung Galaxy 2 on the tarriff I am on Racoon 25 (pay £20/month with 200 min, landlines, 500 MB internet, unlimited txts) but they wanted £170 for the phone. Instead suggested that I could have HTC Sensation when I comes to them next week, which is a very similar phone. Said will call me when in stock.
Confused whether to call again for Galaxy or wait for HTC sensation. Rarely go over my usage bill. Contract ends on 27th July.
I wanted to thankyou a million times but its a shame that I can press the button just once :T

ideally i'd like to start a new thread.... But i've read about this on this forum and wonder if anyone has had the same problem.

I was offered 800 mins unlimited text and 1gb data free phone £27.00 month... Now the phones instock they're now saying it's £35!!!

Has anyone else had this happen to them?????

I feel as if i was offered a good deal to make me stay but now the phones instock they've upped the price hoping i'd just take the phone and stay!!!

The offers change from week to week (day to day sometimes), depending on how well a handset is selling or if they want to push something.
Wait a week or two it'll come down again.

I still think that is a very bad buisness practise, if i've given a quote to a client i don't turn up on the day i'm due to start work and put the price up by £200! If orange have got phones to push, promote and sell that should be done to new customers not people they've allready made an offer to!

I have been readling this thread for a few weeks whilst waiting for the right time to call up orange, as my contract was due to end on 10th july.

I rang up yesterday and asked to be put through to cancellations and wanted my pac code etc etc...

Anyway end result, free samsung galaxy 2 24 month contract with 700 mins x network, unlimited texts, and 500mb:):).

Not as good as some on here, but i'm happy with this and i'm glad, as all my research on which phone to get, (htc sensation or sg2) is finally over.

Phone arrived today, waiting for the 1st charge and then i can find out how good this phone is...?? (by the way how long should 1st charge be? can't find that info on any of the accompanying leaflets)

So thanks again for all the tips:T
