Just been offered HTC wildfire S
600 mins, ulimited texts, 500mb data, £15 x 24
Pretty good I thought0 -
Been on a £20/month (18 months) Blackberry Bold contract with 400 mins, unltd texts and BIS. Expired for a while.
Just rang up retentions to upgrade tothe Samsung Galaxy S II, however they are out of stock and will text when it's back in. She said there is a long waiting list. Is that true?
She said best deal for me would be: free phone, 600 mins, unlimited texts, 500mb internet and free email (? - no idea what that's about) for £25/month (24 months). Would rather have less mins and pay £5 less per month. Might try another day.0 -

I phoned to upgrade on the 5th June, I'm still waiting, got a text today saying still out of stock.0 -

I hate this upgrading lark...
Essientially during my old 18 month contract i bought an iphone4 direct from apple (i had a nokia 6303 as part of my contract). All i had to do was add £10 p/m to my bill to get the micro sim and required 1GB data bundle.
This meant i paid £20 pm for
400 mins
unlimited landlines
300 texts (plenty for me)
80Mb data + 1GB data
This suited me fine and i rarely went over my std contract generally, bar one very expensive (c£350) roaming disaster!
18 months expired and i lost my £10 loyalty discout and 200 extra mins so this put me on:
£30 p/m for
200 mins
unlimited landlines
300 texts
1GB data
So i phoned retentions:
Appears i have 2 options:
Sign up for another 18 months and get
Free Galaxy S2, HTC Desire HD or Motorola Atrix
400 mins
Unlimited landlines
300 texts
1GB data bundle
for £20 p/m.
I've got no interest in the new handset as happy with my iphone 4 so which one would have the best resale value?
Or i forgo a contract and go 30 day rolling on orange's iphone 25 contract which they can't offer discount on (and hence pretty unappealing). Details are:
£25 p/m
600 mins
unlimited texts
500MB data + unlimited wifi.
Tempted to lock in again and flog the new handset. If i could raise £360 it would effectively make my contract free for 18 months. Then when the iphone 5 comes along if i want to upgrade i could flog my iphone 4 and make up the difference from my savings.
So which handset shall i plum for?0 -

would I go for the galaxy s2, planning on doing the same thing. That tariff is pretty much what i'm after, 3 weeks until I can upgrade with 3 months left :mad:0 -
I was told that they are out of stock but are geting deliveries in every day. According to the CS rep, they have one of their team just looking at deliveries and allocating them. He said that they are clearing the backlog and that it should take about a week.jsdickinson wrote: »Thanks, just I saw that guy above upgraded on the 14th and was unsure. Thanks, hopefully I get a text to tell me it's in stock soon0 -
Mrs phoned this morning to as for her pac. Currently paying £31 a month for 600 mins, texts and internet.
She was offered free LG Optimus Black or HTC Desire S
18 month
400mins
texts
internet
£27
24 month
600 mins
texts
internet
£22.50
Didn't seem like that much of a deal to me, she asked about the Atrix but was told "that'll cost loads". Seeing people on here getting the Galaxy S 2 on £20 contracts makes me think it might be worth chatting to a few retentions officers to see which one is feeling most generous0
