I've negotiated £15/month for 350 xnet mins and 250 txts, 18 month contract and a new w910i. Seems good but I also want to be able to surf the internet, i got told it would be an extra £7.50/month which can't be true. I'd be happy upto an extra £3.50 but no more. Any thoughts?0

Same for me...they wouldn't budge on the £7.50...so I didn't take it...but got 2 months free usage which I need to cancel before the 3rd month or they'll charge for it.

What were you guys paying before you got the above deal? £15 for 350 mins and 250 texts would be ideal for me. I am currently paying £30 for 350mins and 200 texts with free broadband. Thanks!0 -
I'm up for renewal in a few weeks and I really want a Nokia N95. O2 are currently doing a deal online: 400mins, 1000 texts, Free Nokia Maps, free phone for £25 a month, which is only slightly more than I pay at the moment.
I put this to Orange and asked them to match it and they said they couldn't do it... they'd have to charge me for the phone and then they said try after your contract expires. Will this really make a difference?
I have, I think, a 20% loyalty discount with Orange and so I'm not overly keen to leave. I've had no issues whatsoever in the time I've been with them. But are their retention offers really not very good or do I just need to try harder with my haggling?
FWIW I don't really need 400mins or 1000 texts. 300 and 200 respectively would be enough. I was just using that tariff as it looked like the best bargaining tool.

I dialled 150 from my phone then went to the 'thinking of leaving Orange' option.therivierakid wrote: »I'm up for renewal in a few weeks and I really want a Nokia N95. Think you're better off waiting til it is close to or just after the expiry date, maybe someone else, Toontastic, can offer more help? What were you guys paying before you got the above deal? £15 for 350 mins and 250 texts would be ideal for me. Was paying £25 p/m but some of my bills went over £50 and I hadn't upgraded in 2 years since receiving my N70.

Did I do ok today? Had bill halved to £15 a month, 250 mins and 100 texts (well over double what I use), Samsung G600 and free broadband to continue. Wanted the apprentice handset but received short shrift at this idea.
I'm quite pleased as was paying £15 a month 11 years ago and only got 15 inclusive minutes back then. Handset was, as you'd imagine, very basic.Blitzkreig Bob says Hi to those checking his validity!0
