became majorly annoyed with orange after being scammed by them after my n80 broke, which somehow despite paying the insurance for, i'm somehow not insured on it. (!!!!!!???)

was out of contract, and have been on panther 55 for a while, and a good orange customer for about 9 years.

phoned up to disconnect my line, but was offered for £20 a month (18 month contract)

    dolphin 35
    unlimited texts
    750 minutes to any mobile/any network/any landline

and a free orange tokyo (which is the phone i asked for).

tbh, i need a phone to make phone calls, and the smaller the better. not fussed about any cameras/browsing etcetera.

from reading this thread it looks like some people got better deals tho? did i get the best deal, or was there a better deal to be had?

    thanks

I was meant to receive my new Nokia N82 either on Thurs or Fri this week. Have just been in touch with Orange who have confirmed that the phone is in fact out of stock, yet it was available when i placed my order for the folliwng Orange PAYG Retention Deal to move to Contract.

Racoon 35 Tariff -£22 per month
    Nokia N82- FOC
    700 Anytime Mins
    100 Texts
    Unlimited Landline Calls

As Orange have failed on their promise to deliver the phone and lied to me regarding the phone being in stock when i placed my order I have now cancelled my order with Orange and will remain with O2.

What a shoddy level of service!!!

I have been paying Orange £30 a month on a 18th month contract for 21 months and havent upgraded yet. Been offered through retentions...

    350mins, 250texts

    Nokia N82 £15 per month + £100

    LG Viewty £15 per month + £29.99

    K850i £15 per month + £10

A good overall camera & music playback are the most important.

I haven't heard too many good things about the K850i, is it worth the extra for the N82? Can Orange do better than this for me or are they just not allowed to give you the phone for free? The guy said he could give it to me for free but then it would go up to about £20 a month.

    Cheers

mr_cool, if you take the £20 deal then the £5 extra a month makes it +£90 over the 18 months. But since the phone would be FOC you save £10 and better still you don't have to pay the money now but slowly over 18 months, a better option in my opinion.

Cheers, the guy told me at £20 p/m the phone would cost £10 but I will give it a go anyway. Thats true about paying it over 18months rather than at once. I am not sure between the LG and N82

    Hi All,

Wondering if you can help with getting the best retention's deal I can..

    Currently:

I am paying £35 a month on an 18 month Dolphin 35 Plan. The plan comes with 500 mins/Unlimited texts and I get a 400 minutes loyalty reward.

Recently my average monthly bill has come to around £45-£50 a month due to Data charges. Before getting rid of orange care in March it was closer to £55-£60. I only use about 300 of the 900 minutes I have available and about 100 texts a month max.

    Would like:

I currently have the HTC touch and i'm looking at getting another smartphone either a HTC or Blackberry. I would also like a data bundle as I would like my work emails sent to my phone.

What could I realistically ask orange for? Or would you recommend I just cut my losses and find another network provider?

    Many Thanks for any help.

i would say the web racoon 30 (£25)
thats 400mins/100txts + Orange magic numbers (check your bills to see who you call)

then ask for a £5 discount on that, + some extra txts 30-100, and a HTC phone of your choice.
you get unlimited (250mb fair usage) internet for £7.50, so that should be £27.50 in total. always push for extra discount, bluetooth headsets, or just one off airtime credits.
