Orange Retention Offers

I had an Orange PAYG account, tbh I hardly used it but still managed to blag a retention deal from them... I thought it was a cracking deal, the advisor has told me the phone will be delivered on Friday.

I think its definatelty worth Orange PAYG customer calling the retentions department and asking what deal they can get if they were to move to an Orange contract.

awww, i wanted the black n82
May just pay the £33 a month for 12 months.
Oooo and cud you tell me where they have put that orange logo when you get the phone, cheers.

I have been in a 18 month contract for 21 months now.
I started off on 650mins in total & 1110 texts. After 18th months they reduced the texts to 100 as the 1000 was not for life. I also get the free broadband.

I phoned retentions tonight and got offered 350 mins 250 texts for £15 & keep broadband but I wanted the N82 and he said its not avaliable and the offered deal will not be vaild for long.

I phoned upgrades as I saw it was avalibale as a upgrade on their website and he said it will probely be on the system by the weekend.

If I wait till the weekend will it be likley that the deal will still be there and I will get a free upgrade N82?

The other thing is my billing date is the 10th so I think that would add a month if I wait till after 10th?

I really wnated the N82 because of the great camera - can anybody recommend a different phone which will be avaliable with good camera + mp3 playback. Currently have K800i

Should also add 350mins and 250 texts is enough for my usage.

Any adivce appreciated

I'll let you know if there is an Orange logo on the phone when i get it on Friday.

I still can't believe the deal i've got, especially since my account with Orange was with the PAYG department.

I might give them a call tomorrow just to double check everything is in order and the phone has been processed for delivery.

The N82 looks a fab phone, had a look at the dummy version of it in the Orange shop as they were still waiting on their delivery of them and it looks cool.

Well i was told that N82 is available to new customers only and not available for upgrade.

I think Matrix was a payg customer so he is a new customer as pay monthly , thats how he got N82 , Thats what i think

Hmm.. It is very strange why it only appears availbale to certain customers???

I am an existing Orange pay monthly customer as i have an OVP Tariff on the Virgin Plan which has no line rental so I just pay for the calls i use.

The Orange PAYG account is being linked to my exisiting Orange pay monthly account so effectively I wil receive one bill but have two mobile numbers attached to it.

I gave Orange a call this morning just to double check everything and the advisor checked my notes and says everything is in order and that the phone may actually be with me on Thursday morning.

Anyone else tried calling Orange PAYG retentions to see if they can get a deal for moving over to contract??

Well it's listed on their website under upgrades as well so seems a bit odd but I was told they didn't have it in yet...

Hola folks ... just got offered 500 x net mins, and unlimited texts, with a new LG Viewty and broadband for £30 a month ... sound ok? I'm thinking it's a grand deal, and will do the job. What' the general thoughts?
