Jon, how did you get that deal, by phone or in an Orange shop?
I am on PAYG and looking to get a Black N82 the cheapest way possible, it seems you can buy a Sim Free one for about £300 although only from overseas at the moment, which I am reluctant to do.
So you will be paying £360 over the 18 months plus the extras so it seems quite a good deal.

Rich, I called Orange, 150, went through to retentions and they talked over a few deals.
Some of my bills have been quite high and I hadn't upgraded my Nokia N70 for 2 years.

They even offered me £15p/m plus £10 for the phone, but only 350 minutes and 250 texts, so £280, but my deal is better suited for me.

A guy 'matrix999' was offered a good deal from retentions and he was on PAYG, follow a page or 2 back in this thread.

I am in the last month of a painfully long 18 month contract and so far have been offered:-

N95 8gb
panther 45 which is
1200mins
500texts
magic numbers
250meg data
with £5 web discount and £5 loyalty discount
£35 per month.

TBH it isn't good enough. They said that if I upgrade now the remaining month will go onto the end of the new contract so in effect will be a 19 month contract. The CS rep estimated that I might get another £5 discount if i leave it until the full end of contract, but I am so fed up with 18 month contracts I think I might jump ship and go to o2 with 1 of their 12 month contracts instead. IMHO orange get worse and worse.
