there is no way you can get a new phone without having a minimum term. This usually would have been read out to you in the final blurb on the call, r u sure this wasnt mentioned? If you were previously on an 18 month deal it would extend another 18 months

Of course I'm sure or I wouldn't be asking about it! :D

  • Hello everybody
I am with orange for last 5 years and this was the time to upgrade again.
From the last 2 months i have been really looking around and had spoke to retentions as well

After giving it to my best , after requesting my PAc code as well i could get the following out of orange

    Htc touch dual free
panther 75 discounted to 40 pounds a month
1800 minutes 500 texts all that with premier plans, plus unlimited bundle of my choice.

I need advice whether its a good deal or nt , cuz i need that much minutes , though they are less then before but orange is nt willing to giving any more minutes..

    Thanks
And i forgot to mention that they gave me a bluetooth headset as well, I dunno may be its worth 10 quid , never mind anywayz
  • Hi i would like to direct my question to Toontastic. I have been with orange for 4.5 years now and i am on £25 a month (500 anytime min) andon top of that i have got a text bundle (60 texts which costs me about plus non direct debit chargest etc it all adds up to £33) that my average usually the last few months i have been using my phone quite regularly so i have had a few 2 X £40's and 1X £50 and 1 X £80 but my average has been about £33 my contract is up on 17th of June. I am on the back order list for the nokia 8800arte but ORANGE RENTENTIONS(thats where u come in ) want £200 for it (thats keeping my on the same plan) i was told that if i wait until June 1st i will get the phone for £100 but i would still like to get it for free ( i was also told that i am band 3 so by renentions i am band 4)

I also would like to pay £25 and still get 500 free min but also atleast 100 free texts as well

your advice would be really appreciated

    thank you

Nothing was mentioned about the contract carrying over to another X months, nothing at all.

Do Orange keep records of phone conversations?

We do but only for 14 days and not all calls are recorded. Theres no real way of getting the conversation back again as they are only used for call monitering for training purposes at the time

Thats a pretty good deal but i would say there is the possibility you could knock another fiver off but couldnt say that for certain. You have to look at the bigger picture really and ask whether any other companies are offering 1800mins+ 500texts+phone+unltdlandline/network calls+accesory+phone for 40 pound a month.

Right well with that average spend its likely you could increase your minuutes but as its only a text bundle and there are no texts in your package it wouldnt be possible to add any more. In regards to the arte 8800, we are only getting ver limited supplies in May and depending where you are on the back list it could be a while before it becomes available again. Im guessing u would have to pay something as the phone is worth 600pound and even some very high band customers have to pay a price. 100pound seems right so im guessing u wouldnt be able to get it for free. But obviously i havent seen ur account so it is hearsay. Hope that helps
  • Can anyone give me an opinion on this offer please I was offered yesterday. Not upgraded before so don't know if this offer is competitive or not.
    Racoon 35 Plan
    500 inclusive mins.
    100 texts
    Nokia 6500 Slide
18 month contract for £20.00 per month.
    Any advise would be grateful.
    Thanks.

I have a contract with Orange and have Panther 45 18 month contract.

    I get 2000 minutes (Loyalty Reward18)
1000 minutes 1000 cross net minutes
    500 texts for 18 months
    300 Cross-net text

So basically 3000 minutes and 800 texts, all for £35 per month.
