The Orange Care is £6 a month by itself, I asked how much the contract would be without it and it would have been the same price, so abit of a no brainer having it really.

I think the minumin term is 4 months so I may phone up in a few months time and ask to cancel it, I know its against FSA regulations to give it away for free so I'm hoping to have the contract price reduced down to £7.50 a month.

They also offered my the Samsung Galaxy S on the same deal with a one off £49 fee for the handset, but I didn't want a phone that came out last May

yeah the desire s is a good choice, good luck in cancelling the insurance after 4 months and hopefully reducing your contract to an even better price. I have done a similar thing with Virgin media where i cancelled the free included 0845/0870 minuites for an extra £2 discount 1/6 of total monthly cost :D

I've just been back on the phone to Orange regarding the retention offer that was made to myself a few days ago, the advisor was brilliant and tweaked it a little for me...

    I'm now getting the following:

HTC Desire S - Free of charge
    1200 Anytime Minutes
    Unlimited Landline Calls
    500MB Data
    1300 Texts

£22.50 per month over 24 months.

Hi all. i have been back and forward with orange and phones for you for the past month. i called orange as soon as i hit the 3 month mark and called up the upgrade department. i immediately played dumb and sais i was told to get my pac code. they said ok, and asked why i was leaving. i said i was offered the xperia arc on 18 months and i couldnt turn down the deal. they then asked what it included. i said 500 mins, unlimited text, and a gb of internet. they immediately matched the offer for 25 a month. i had it for a week and sent it back due to the small internal memory and camera problems. i then called retentions and got exactly the same deal with the atrix, but had to pay 60 for the phone. tried the atrix, and sent it back. all i really wanted was the galaxy s2 and they dont have it yet. i then tried calling phones4u. they offered me the gs2 on 18 month, phone free, 35 a month and 500mb plus a check for 75 as i quoted a deal off hotukdeals. i thought i would try instore. went in and told the store supervisor everything i was offered. he immediately asked what my current contract was, which is a 18 month 600 min, unl. txt and REAL unl. net. he said i could upgrade my phone and keep my current deal. i was in shock as i pay 27.50 a month for all that. I know it sounds like lies, but i cant believe how good the deal is. although, 9 a month insurance will have to go!so, sorry about the essay. thanks to everyones tips, and thanks to samsung for this.little peach!

    Hello,
Does anyone know if Orange do deals on the iphone?
I have been a customer for around six years, I currently have two contracts at £35 a month in my name but the combined bill is normally around £99.
I have an iphone4 and am happy that I make good use of my £35 a month contract. My husband has the Sony Ericsson Satio but rarely uses it. The contract on the second if due up in about July and I would love to get him an iphone but I only want a really small contract like £15 a month. I guess what I am after is paying around £200 for the phone and then getting a £15 a month contract for 24 months?

You're highly unlikely yo get a deal on an iPhone.
Apple set the price not the network.
I've never seen a £15 plan for an iPhone!
And they're not hard to sell, they don't need to offer deals with them (even if they could), sorry. . .

If its any help, I got my wife a second hand 3GS from the mobile sales section of AV Forums for about 200 quid. Was like new and had 6 month guarantee left. Might be worth a try?
