Have been biding my time and waiting (with rotten lousy old fashioned phone clutched in impatient hands), until 2 weeks before the expiry of my current orange contract. Had tried Orange retentions in the past but they were less than useless in getting me a good deal and the phone i had decided i wanted (always telling me i cant have something seems to make we want it more lol!).

Anyway with two weeks before end of contract i tried again and "Hey Presto" this time i was offered:

HTC Desire HD (Handset was additional £10)
    600 anytime any network mins
    unlimited texts
    unlimited browsing / data

    all for £20 per month!

Decided i was quite happy with this deal and so took it - new phone arrives tomorrow and only spoke to retentions last night!

Is anyone still getting orange home broadband for £5 per month?.

I'm coming to the end of my Orange mobile contract (in last two months) and thinking of leaving due to poor poor deals being offered. Does anyone know if I move to orange payg or sim only can i keep my orange broadband at the same price. when i originally signed up about 4-5 years ago you had to be on a 18 month contract.

S2 is now showing on the Orange website for purchase/upgrade....
However, Retentions have none showing on their system yet. Typical. Been waiting 6 weeks for this thing and every other network has this already!
  • Im waiting for the Galaxy s2 too. Hope we can get a good deal. Im also a little worried about my broadband as its free and I dont want to lose that! x

Just to follow up on my post from the last page, I phoned up and was allowed to cancel the Orange Care, saving £6 a month, so my deal ended up as this:

    A free Desire S
    400 X net minutes
    Unlimited texts
    1.5GB of internet including wifi
    50 MMS per month
    24 month contract
    £7.50 a month

If anyone can beat that I'll box the phone up and send it to them

Lol.... Drbesty, I'll take on your challenge as I have again tweaked the deal I was offered.

    Ok, here goes.

HTC Desire S - Free of charge
    900 Anytime Minutes + 600 Loyalty Minutes = 1500 Anytime Minutes
    300 Texts + 1000 Loyalty Texts = 1300 Texts
    Unlimited Landline Calls
    50MMS
    750MB Mobile Internet Data
    £10.00 + £5.00 Line Rental Discount = £15.00

    £35.00 - £15.00 = £20.00 per month x 24 months = £480.00

Not as cheap as your one but for someone needing more minutes not a bad deal I think!!

    Nice one Orange!
