I don't use these social networks so not sure what you expect me to do. It would be great if Orange dealt with such issues I have to say. I have a lot of information I could share.

    Hi malid

Sorry, I realise not everyone uses Twitter or Facebook. Although there isn't a direct email address for our team, you can contact Customer Services by email at customer.services@orange.co.uk. I'm sure they'd be happy to feed this back for you.

    Thanks

    Official Company Representative
I am the official company representative of Orange. MSE has given permission for me to post in response to queries about the company, so that I can help solve issues. You can see my name on the companies with permission to post list. I am not allowed to tout for business at all. If you believe I am please report it to forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com This does NOT imply any form of approval of my company or its products by MSE"

Thanks Darren, credit where it's due :) Duly contacted via Facebook, and a quick response received. Shame there only seem to be less positive comments on the official site, I'm sure there must be SOME happy customers wanting to give praise for a job well done. Well I am one of them :)

I don't do the Social networks either
I have emailed someone from Orange with further details (through another forum that I use)
However I've not heard anything back for a couple of days (then again it is Orange so it's not exactly unusual)
I've got my PAC code through from them ( at least Wayne did something useful ) so I think it's maybe time to move on
Despite the letter stating that they have offers that think will make me change my mind

Life really is too short to spend any more time trying to get a reasonable level of customer service from Orange

I was on a £15pm (cashback) deal with orange that expires this month & gives me 100min & unlimited texts. I followed MSE advice and rang Orange & said I wanted to leave as I could get a better deal elsewhere (they dont know that the only signal I can get at my house is Orange). I was put through to retentions and I said I wanted more minutes and/or to pay less money.
Retentions said that neither of these was possible :(
All they could/would offer me was the same tariff and a fancy phone: Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Mini Fashion on a 3yr contract.
I declined this offer and they seemed more than happy to discuss disconnection
I went on the mobiles.co.uk website & clicked through to "Upgrades" and purchased a 12month sim only deal @ £10pm giving me unlimited texts and 300 minutes. Also saw another good site called
[FONT=&quot]upgrademyorangemobile.co.uk that I have bookmarked for the future.
I am happy to only be tied in to a 12 month contract and to have trebled my minutes. The £5 I save every month will enable me to buy a phone of my choosing accross the counter!! The X10 mini fashion is probably a bit too fancy for humble me!!
My current SE phone was bought second hand on Ebay 3 years ago and gets constant use (& abuse) and is working perfectly well. :T
I was disappointed that Orange did not make more of an effort to keep this customer happy

You should probably have asked orange:-

    1. What can you offer for a 12 month contract as sim only
    2. What can you offer for a monthly contract as sim only

Comparing a 3 year deal with a new phone to a 12 month sim only is not valid.

Edit: 300 mins, unlimited texts is £10.21 a month on a 12 month contract. You'd probaably have got it a bit cheaper aas a renewal, possibly have got it as monthly allowing you time to decide what to do.

Tmobile 7.50 deal is much better then the 12 month contract you took out. it seems to come and go every few months though and lasts for a few days. For me orange don't seem very competitive on sim only deals, couldn't find anything I liked in the end i had to go for a contract with a phone.
