Orange Retention Offers

Armed with the research as recommended above (calculate cost of full contract including cashback and redemptions etc) I was offered the following -
Samsung Galaxy S - Free
600 minutes
'unlimited' SMS
1gb data
Orange Care
24 months
£26.41 per month
This more than meets my needs as I only really use 200 minutes and 400mb of data per month but looking at a mobiles.co.uk offer I could get 300 mins, unlimited SMS and 500mb of data which would work out at £13.88 per month.
Orange are calling me back tomorrow so I'll see what they can offer in return.
Don't hold your breath on a call back, you may well need to chase that upAlso, double check on the Orange Care insurance, as I seem to recall that they can no longer offer that as part of a retentions deal (legislation), so it may be that they are charging you for it...what would the offer be without that cover, and if you really want the cover, can you add it to your bank A/C, home insurance etc etc, as this may work out cheaper (I have used Lloyds A/C, and they were excellent when my wife needed to claim).

Racoon 15 30 day sim only as no suitable UMA SignalBoost mobile (ie a basic run of the mill phone) for parent number on my account, £5 discount now £10.22.
Works out as 300 mins, 100 texts, unlimited landlines and keep the now discontinued UMA Unique 1000 mins bundle for calls to Orange mobiles, 01/02/03 landlines and 30 International landlines (mainly EU) £10.22 a month until a suitable UMA handset handset is avail & call retentions back....was paying £20+ VAT rise out of contract since late 2010 after losing the £10 discount on the 18 month contract which was promised to be continued but not & still awaiting billing refund. Also keep Magic Numbers and ON account free unlimited calls so happy parent and thats all that matters....
Some you lot are greedy monkeys, u want a Kylie with the Cheryl Cole price tag LOL "Welcome to Tree" & get 2000 mins for £25 and no-one comes close to that, I have it - The One Plan which I divert to my Orange UMA handset at home or wherever I have no 3/Orange roaming signal even in basements with wifi 15 metres underground.
One personal mobile & a business one for self employment with a signal on the Orange one everywhere there is wifi and with Orange broadband at home ALL for just over £1 a day to me and £10.22 to parent.
Hate Orange computer says no, love Orange customer facing departments - so helpful as much as poss compared to ANY the other 4 majors.SO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... You will be leaving the UK aswell as Europe0 -
The best offer retentions would give, is
Orange San Francisco
100 mins
unlimited texts
250mb data + email
basically stay on my contract now adding 5 pound for net/email
£20 ppm....
24 month contract is £480
not worth it for a 100 pound phone in my opinion, I would be better of with a sim only deal and buying a phone !
I asked for my pac code!
cant be bothered with the hassle of changing provider but never mind.0 -
In previous posts I've stated I'm on a Dolphin 50 (doubled to 100mins) for £15 cpm
basically I'd take 200 mins, a few texts and some internet
Best I've been getting offered is HTC wildfire or desire, 300 doubled to 600 (academic to my usage), unl txt 500mb internet for £23.)
I'm not really wanting to go above the £15 mark - hoped to get a handset to offset the purchase of the iphone I've just ebayed. Maybe sim only is the way?

Nice offerHandset could be better...depends what you want from it. Handy if you have poor reception but a wifi network you can attach to with the UMA technology. Not a fan of LG cameras or build quality, but that is my personal view. If they offered you a HTC Wildfire I would say snap their hands off, so it really depends what you want from the handset. You could always sell it on a well known auction site and buy something you prefer with the proceeds.

rang up again yesterday and said i cant have any of the deals mentioned above!
i cant believe it. Been looking on the net and i can get both these phones on £25/month contracts with the phone being free on both. 500 mins anytime/any network, unlim texts and 500mb.24 month contracts. both of these are with orange as well.
been on the phone again today trying to get a better deal than above and still they said we cant beat it. best there could do for me is £33 quid a month.
absolutely poor from orange. its like they are not bothered about me leaving.0 -
hi everyone
after battling since january and last day of contract today (pac due to expire tomorrow), I called today to request another pac code and was offered
HTC Desire - £3 (totally random I know)
600 mins
unlim txt
500mb data
£20 per month
not as great as some of the offers on here but the best they have offered me and I won't get better elsewhere for £20, would have like to pay about £15 but going to take it anyway.0 -
After a week of calls I got the same deal all week
Desire HD or Galaxy S - £50 for phone
24 months
600 mins
UL texts
500mb Internet - £23 per month
Last girl I spoke to offered the Desire free
I had been tempted to go to T-mobile but was going to go for this
The girl was to call me back att 11.30 but the call never came
I then called back and got Wayne
Wayne proceeded to call me a liar as T mobile couldn't beat any Orange deals - he then told me ha wasn't bothered if I left because they would get the money anyway if I went to T-mobile
He then told me that I could get 20 meg broadband here (8 meg is the max)
Then told me that he would be happy to issue my pac code because I didn't spend enough for Orange to care less
Now here's the rub Wayne
I don't spend a great deal on my Private mobile phone
However I am in charge of my company's mobile phone deal
(they spent £150 k with Orange in the past year - but will be moving to o2 at the end of April )
Well Done Wayne
I bet your bosses are very proud of you0 -

Ah yes, Wayne striks againWife spoke to him, denied all knowledge of previously agreed offer (agreed by me, she just needed to confirm she was happy with it), until she pushed. He even went back on his offer to add some free photo messages (not too bothered about those, so didn't push it). I would love to see the look on his face if he reads your post...are you able to give feedback on this when your company moves?
I have previously advised customers viewing this thread to always remain polite, but yes, it does go both ways. Enjoy your T-mobile/O2 savings0
