    Decent Deal! Happy savings!
  • They registered my returned phone today (2 days once received - excellent)

    Heres the deal

    Samsung galaxy S - £60
    £12.50 per month 24 months
    100 mobile mins
    100 texts
    unlimited land line
    500mb internet
    12.50 per month
+ (saved money by switching to lower tariff earlier)

I also think a there's a nice promotions by Samsung at the moment giving £50 worth of games and movies with this phone.

And I did try getting more mins I believe he genuinely couldn't as I was on the phone for a while asking questions etc. This was a nice agent too but Is it me or do the Indian call centre staff act more friendly and polite?

You will never get a good deal without asking for your PAC code. I don't speak to upgrade depts any more, just go straight to retentions.
Yes that is what I was going to do next but have a couple of weeks to wait until I enter my 30 days notice period. The difference between what upgrade and retentions offer is just staggering!
  • lol I'm getting the galaxy s and now find out the galaxy s2 is coming out in feb. Am tempted to wait for it do new phones usually have very expensive contracts from retentions?

I guess I could just wait and keep the galaxy s there's always a new phone coming out.

Any new handset have a premium in the first month of release as everyone wants one. They won't be able to budge much on the price listed, the system won't let them.

Once you're into the second month of release the offers start to get better.
  • How does everyone seem to be getting these deals except me!!!!

I have rang them several times and been offered utter rubbish ones. I finally called to ask for my PAC code today and got this offer.

    HTC desire £60
    100 mins
    unlim text
    250 mb data

For £23 per month..... which isn't even the worst I was offered that deal at £30

have been with them for 2 years and always go over my tarriff but they said I am graded band 2 and that the best they can do.

Is it worth trying again when the PAC comes through as I really don't want the hassle of moving providers.

    THanks
