Just been offered the following options. First call to retentions with my contract ending today;
HTC Desire HD
600 mins
unlimited texts
500mb internet
5 photo messages
24 months
£16.31 per month
free phone
18 months
£21 per month
£43 for the phone
The 24 month deal seems good, but it's 24 months! He didn't seem to want to budge on the 18 month prices though.
Any thoughts?0 -

Cracking Deal!! Happy Savings!!!! :T0 -
Very jealous of these good deals - I'm obviously doing something wrong...!
Out of contract with Orange now and want the HTC Desire.
Been offered this for £23 per month (not incl VAT):
24mth contract
300 mins
unlimited texts
500mb
Rang retentions and they said this was the best they could offer unless I went for a different handset. Really want this HTC though!
Any tips on getting a better deal, don't really want the hassle of changing and no great deals seem to be around for new customers elsewhere.
Thanks!0 -

There are no set tips as such! Its all a case of your bargaining power and the person on the other end!0 -
Thanks - will try my luck again tomorrow!0

I called Orange on Monday - asked to go on PAYG as my contract ended and I wasn't using up what I had and been paying £35 (Dolphin 30 + data)!!!
I was offered SIM only contract, one month's notice at any time (30-day tie-in) with the following:
100 min
Unlimited texts
Asked how much would be data costs with this, as I do connect to internet sometimes, and the guy said - oh, I'll just add tht on for you for free.
So, for £5.11 I now will have:
100 min
Unlimited texts
500MB
I wasn't going for a new phone, as I am considering an iPhone, and was going to wait until summer to see iPhone 5. I am very happy to save £30 a month!!!! Maybe I can get the micro Sim for iPhone and keep this deal if I finally decide to go for one.Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0
