Well been reading up on those phones and they seem a bit dated now, especially if i am getting tied into a new contract. Will try for the galaxy or desire i think.

Just managed to get this deal - one phone call to Customer service who offered a plan for 28.08 with the Galaxy S phone - I umd and arred (sp!!) a bit and he put me through to retentions where I got the following

Samsung Galaxy S (free)
1600 mins
unlimited landline
300 texts
500 mgbs
6 magic numbers (1 extra)
£22.97

The deal on the mins and the texts were more than double when retentions did it rather than customer service so well worth the odd umm and arr:)
Only downside is this is now a 24 month contract so Im really hoping I like the phone

Good deal do you think or should I have done the 3 phone call tactic?

Whats ur current contract? i would say wait.. try a few more calls. Also better deals generally come in the last month of contract!

HTC Desire HD - £15 upfront
800 x-net mins
550 texts
Unlimited Landlines
500MB Internet
15 Photo Messages
Free home broadband
£25 per month for 18 months

Other deals posted on here regarding the Desire HD seem to be a bit better however I do continue to get the free home broadband which is worth £10/month. Any thoughts; I'm currently on a £25/month tariff and never exceed this?

I would say Good Deal. As you are getting free broadband and much more mins. If possible push for more discount or handset totally free. Otherwise its a good deal in itself!

20:00 as above.

But the later you leave it the less time they'll have to give you. The shifts start thinning out after about 18:00 and they have to keep the call ques down. . .
