Don't believe anything they ever say about calling back etc, never happens.
It doesn't sound too bad is it an 18 month? although i wouldn't be paying anything upfront for a phone personally. This thread has me so pumped, I headbutted my dog and we both screamed.0 -
well have finally done it been negotiating nearly 2 months as a low user ( spending £10 a month on the last contract not going over) they wouldnt give me a £10 a month contract with the phone I wanted after the 3rd call today I'm happy I got.....
Htc Desire £15 extra charge
100 mins
200 text
unlimited land line - yahay
30 picture messages
500mb data
they kept offering wildfire as free on £10 month contract if that helps anyone.
which is the better phone desire or wildfire he was pushing the wildfire as its newer and he said they are nearly the same phone??????0 -
I would pick the Desire over the wildfire any day of the week.
Previous contract was £15 pm 18 month 200 mins ul landlines 80 mb of internet and htc touch 300 texts as well i think
This contract is 24 months, it really isn't that bad but like you said others have gotten the phone for free. I would have been happy if they had thrown in insurance and probably wouldn't have been so negative in my posts on other forums but after all that hassle they put me through for a sub par deal its annoying. I've got a feeling ill be regreting my decision to stay with orange for the next 24 months and ill make sure everyone thats looking for a contract knows about it.
Phones coming on Monday time to hit the xda forums
Anyone else feel that Orange don't have to work as hard with retentions now that they have T-mobile?0 -

Thats a nice deal. Desire anyday over Wildfire!0 -
Just agreed my new contract with retentions
Free HTC Desire HD
400 mins
Unlimited texts
1GB data per month (triple checked this)
24 month contract
£10 per month
Already sold the desire to a mate for £300
I think thats a pretty sweet deal!!
My upgrade is now due but they will only 10% off any web deals they have.
I am on 400 mins unlimited texts with a 6303i for £8.50 mnth, but I have been over a few times and my average bill is just over £10.
If i dont upgrade then I will be put on the normal dolhpin 25 for £18.
Is there anybody whos in a similar situation?0 -
Ok, Round 1, average usage 112 minutes a month, currently on a Sony Ericson W380, not had an upgrade for 4 years or so...
1st offer
Samsung Galaxy S
200 Mins calls
300 txts
unlimited Landline
500MB internet
£20.40 a month over a 24 month contract.
Tried to reduce the amount of calls and text to 100 but she didnt seem interested. Will call back again later but seeing what other people have been getting this seems not great to me.0 -

You should be able to get better. I think 15£ over 24 months is good. Also ask them to double the minutes. They should easily do in the same amount. Also try calling in the last month. Thats when the best deals flow mostly!0 -

My contract ran out years ago but i have just been too lazy to do anything about it. Will try back again this afternoon and see what i can get.0 -
Today I called Orange for my 30 days notice and PAC code (contract ends 26th February).
Currently on:
Dolphin 15
50 Minutes (used to be 100)
Unlimited texts
250mb Internet (used to be none)
Magic numbers
Now from my contract the only things I use are magic numbers and texts. The internet I used maybe durng one month very little of when I bought a android phone but I sold it so no longer use it (even when did I used under 25mb). I also don't really use my normal minutes.
So when I rang I said I have better offers on other networks but neither did he try to ask or give me an offer or ask me to stay with Orange.
So he said I need to use my pac within 30 days and give it a week to transfer over (so that means I will be paying Orange for my minutes etc. but will only get one month minus one week's worth?!)
Anyway so I sad could you tell me what offers Orange could give me. He said nothing has changed on the system since when you rang before (over a month ago). he said Desire HD is £199.99 if I did.
I said on the Orange website is is cheaper and elsewhere. He said we can match the website one (about £169.99) but no others. He did ask me how much it was on the webste but I haven't checked it in ages.
I said I know people on lower contracts or same who don't go over but have been offered good deals. He said it's based on how much you spend and we don't get much more than £15 a month from your account. He also said on average I use 1700 minutes on Orange (I think I use way less than that) which takes up network space (whatever that is) and I use 1400 texts per month.
I said if I call again will be offered better deals to match? He said the more you call the worse the deals get (as someone else mentoned on ths forum too). No hope for Orange then.
Let's see what happens when the PAC code comes.Debt free
