Just a thought for you guys, have you asked what deals you can have on the Windows7 phones, you may find you have more bargaining power with these rather than the Androids.0

I have 4 days left now. To be honest, I would pay about £25, but she now wants me to sign a 24 month contract. It was the same witch I had on the phone last time I called. Errr.0 -

Well, then I would also say call and ask for your PAC code and give them a 30 days notice. They would post the PAC code in post and should reach you in 3-4 working days. Once u have that there is a number on the attached note, try that once, otherwise go to high street and buy a new contract. Also try online sites.. phones4u.co.uk are doing some good deals.
on retentions anything more than 15 is bad deal to be frank esp since u have been paying 30£ per month on ur current contract!0 -

OK. Will do that. The witch said the HTC HD and the SAMSUNG GALAXY were really high spec phones and for that reason she could not lower the tariff. I said I am happy to pay more for the phone as a one off, still no. Errr!0 -

Call again, make sure u select to 'if you are thinking of leaving orange' option (im sure u already do, just to be safe)and ask for your PAC code this time. That might change things, or maybe not in which case u can just be strict and ask for your PAC code to be sent.
I would also suggest wait for it to come before u go to high street or online for a new contract, as calling the number on PAC code delivery note might help!
All The Best. Wish you a Happy New Year 2011. I'll be online most of the weekend, so in case u need any help, post here and I would try and reply back.0 -
When the 24 month contract comes to the end, do they stop charging you to your direct debit? Or do you have to call and do it that way?Debt free

i've been offered £15pm, 24 month contract
400mins
300 txts
unltd ll
ultd internet with free dongle
was also told i could choose a phone as i have a choice of over 80 (hmmm). i asked for a recommendation but the lady i spoke to said i needed to make the choice. said 'what about wildfire? reply- 'er, no. that's a £300 phone.'she was helpful but not about choosing a phone.
what sort of phone can i push for please to suit above plan? don't know much about them and would go for a cheaper phone if i can push them down on the price of the plan.or get a good one with the aim of selling it...0 -

Depends what you want and what is your requirement mate. You could push for £10 per month and 18 mths contract too. I did the same. Additionally if u want a nice phone, be prepared to pay for it depending on your current bills. My current contract is 10£ pm and I never go above that. I got a HTC desire HD for 155.99 and new contract with same deal as urs but for 10£pm plus 500MB Internet and 15mms. It all depends on your bargaining skills and the person you get on the other end.
Also usually you get much better deals when in last month of contract. Atleast for me that was the caseHappy New Year 2011!

thx. i'm not great at bargaining but got this straight off. lady said i have lot of loyalty - currently paying £30pm and am in last month, 23 days to go.also have home bb and payg sims with them. to be honest, lady was nice but of no help at all helping me choose phone. if i push for a good phone without further rental reduction and without have to pay more for it, which would you suggest please? i would then sell it to finance rental. what do you think might be the best ones to ask for? if i can't get a decent phone i'll push for rental reduction. have just got a san francisco so the phone is really a bargaining tool!
thx for your reply so farhappy new year !
