I would say thats a good deal. Are they charging anything for the handset? Also confirm with them the fair usage on Unlimited Landline -- its 500mb generally for Orange. Also if possible push and u might get the desire HD.Funkyfreddy wrote: »Been offered:

Do you mean Data or Landline ? The former I guess.
Not sure - initially just quoted as Unlimited Data. I'll have to check with follow up.
Not sure I fancy the larger HD in terms of size.
Thanks.

Spoke to them again this morning. Got some bullish about not being given a loyalty discount as I got one last time I upgraded. !!!!!!! I was offered:
Samsung Galaxy for £50 and for £27.50 a month, I would get 500 minutes, unlimited texts, and 500mb internet usage. It was for 18 months. I don't think it's a good offer, do you? So am I best just cancelling it and then opening a new one with Phones4U or something?0 -

Not a good offer at all.. Did you speak to retentions or just the upgrades? if I remember correctly from the main menu its option 4 and then option 2 for retentions. If you are in the last month of your contract, they should be offering you a much better deal.
Something on the lines of 10-15£ per month with a free desire hd and good minutes. Try again. You have to be patient. I remember i had to call them atleast 5-6 times and then 3 times on the day I got my deal. I got offered different deals on the same day. Thats Orange
..
If they dont budge, ask for your PAC code to be sent. When your PAC code comes, there would be a number to call, call it and see what they offer. Otherwise Phones4U or carphonewarehouse would be your last option. ATB..0 -

Thanks for that info. I can remember the last time I upgraded, I called about 5 times before I got a good deal. I will see if I can do the HTC DESIRE HD deal you have mentioned. I would love it if I was given £10 to £15 a month deal. Sorted. Will keep trying.
I still think it's a farce. I have been with them for so many months, not a problem and they won't offer me anything worthwhile. Errr.
Just for my info, what was your opening line when you called them?0 -

Just keep trying. I would say wait till 15 days left in your contract. If at that time also not offering you a good deal, then ask for PAC code. it comes in 3 days. Then u can again try and call the number on that. If no luck, give ur 30 days notice to close account, go to high street and get a new contract and port ur number over. Bingo
Well, my opening line was -- Hi, My contract is coming to an end and I was thinking of moving over, but just wanted to check if Orange has anything good to offer as Vodafone is offering me a good deal. Mind you my current contract is also 10£ per month. I had in my mind i would go upto 15 as I was not getting one deal less than that. But orange were the good ones in the end like last year and gave me 10£.0 -
OK. Called them twice and the offers are getting worse. Prices are higher and I am getting less for my money! Shall I just cancel with them or what?0
