Depends what youe monthly cost was before?
My previous was £30 p/m 400 min, 300 text, unlimited landlines, magic numbers (hammered them) but no data.
Got offered £20 p/m
Galaxy S @ £45 one off,
400 min, 300 text, unlimited landlines, keep magic numbers, 500mb data.
I'm well pleased because of my previous high use of magic numbers0 -
previously I was getting 400 mins, 300 text, unlimited landline and magic numbers for £30. My bill was always £40+ though.
The guy i spoke to said my phone should arrive this week but the plan won't kick in until the 17th Jan which is my next bill date, does that mean I can't use the phone until thenVirgin CC=£2652, Next= [STRIKE]£102.88,[/STRIKE] Very=£475.60, Natwest=£800, Sainsburys CC=£1777.02, Lloyds CC=£498.29, Lloyds Loan= £13,946.18, Car=£4000Total = [STRIKE]£26,147.23[/STRIKE] £23,849.09:eek:0 -
Charlie1986 - i think that means none of the data allowance etc is available until that date either - might be worth checking out.
If you are getting a smart phone (which i think you are) it would be worth asking them to add a free bundle of data to last you between now and when the new plan kicks in, as you don't want to start paying loads of data charges over the next few weeks while you use your new phone!
I asked them and they added a data bundle for free for a couple of weeks to tide me over.0 -
I kept logging on to Orange website and checking my account, it should tell you there when the new plan kicks in as well as the bundles you have, I'm sure mine was immediately.0

Just logged in to my account and the new contract is up and running, waiting on the phone arriving now due to the delays with the couriers!Virgin CC=£2652, Next= [STRIKE]£102.88,[/STRIKE] Very=£475.60, Natwest=£800, Sainsburys CC=£1777.02, Lloyds CC=£498.29, Lloyds Loan= £13,946.18, Car=£4000Total = [STRIKE]£26,147.23[/STRIKE] £23,849.09:eek:0

Had a chat with the orange retentions team today, very happy with the outcome and the standard of customer services. I managed to get a HTC Desire HD:
*Handset was free
*600 minutes
*Unlimited text's
*1GB of internet usage instead of 500MB
All for £22.50 a month
Very happy chap!0 -
Hi,
I have been reading this thread with interest for a few weeks now and after seeing the various good deals that some of you have been offered I feel inclined to make my first post.
I am now in the final month of an 18 month contract with Orange (Jan 13th finish date), but cannot seem to get a decent offer from Orange for love nor money. Off the top of my head, my current contract is for around £25 per month for 600 minutes and unlimited texts, with me usually spending around £30 a month with the addition of a few picture messages and a small amount of internet usage.
I am particularly after the Desire HD and the best Orange will offer me is £27.50 a month with a £110 fee upfront over a 24 month period. This gives me a similar allowance to what I already get with the addition of 'unlimited' data. This is the offer I have received AFTER calling to cancel my contract and receiving the "Please don't leave" letter.
With the above in mind and the fact that I have been with Orange for 5 years+, please could somebody tell me why the offers I'm getting are nowhere near what others on this thread are getting?
Thanks.
Ps: I don't know if it's relevant, but I also receive free home broadband due to the fact that my contract is for £25 a month.0 -
would you consider a vanilla desire? thats the phone i got my deal on0
