Just been offered a Desire HD. Does anyone know if the Orange Desire HD is unlocked?0
-
Just accepted a contract
24 months at £15
Htc Desire HD
400-x minutes
500 texts
500mb of internet
15 pic msg (thrown in when i gave them my credit card details :P)
Unlimited landlines
and orange magic numbers
Had to pay for the phone £140 which isn't too bad considering total is £500 over the length of the contract, tried to get them to push to £100 for the handset but wouldn't budge further
phone should be coming tomorrow, so it looks like the phones in stock. I still have 7 days to think about the offer so please give you're opinions0 -
I phoned orange today, my contract ends on Friday...
They offered me the HTC Desire free and:
24 months
27.50
500 mins
unlimited texts
unlimited internet.
OR
HTC Desire £49.99
24 months
22.50
300 mins
unlimited texts
unlimited internet
Do you think I would be able to get the phone for free on the £22.50 contract or is it unlikely?!
TIA!0 -
The deals you were offered seem incredibly expensive, considering how very little minutes you're getting. As opposed to asking for them to give you the phone for free, ask Orange to lower your monthly costs further (and possibly shorten to 18 months), as this will mean you'll be paying less over the course of the contract.I phoned orange today, my contract ends on Friday...

With the minutes you're getting, I would say a monthly fee of around £17.50 would be more reasonable.
Anyhoo, good luck.0 -
Hey guys
has anyone received their Deisre HD yet? Was it locked? Also does it come with a memory card?
Mine should arrive soon and I want to sell it on ebay.
Thanks x0 -
All depends how much you spend generally per month as to how good your deal is, mine is just about ok coz I never usually go over my allowance yet hammer the magic numbers and landlines.
These being offered top phones for virtually nothing and loads of mins for £15 per month must have previously spent loads per month0 -

99% sure it'll be locked, just about all Orange handsets are (and it'll have that lovely Orange branding firmware!).
Should come with I think a 4 gig micro sd card.0 -

Mine arrived yesterday, didn't try any other sim inside since i was sure it would be locked. For some reason my sim card is wedged inside pretty tight not gonna bother trying to take it out. Orange send the phone with a 3gs micro sim card inside and a converter so that it will fit the dhd
Comes with 8gb of micro sd and theirs no orange software on the phone that I can see.0
