£15x24 = £360
+ £199 for phone = £599
that seems really quite expensive to me esp for what you get on the contract. See if you can get the normal Desire for free.Saph

well its similar to you're contract
24x£22.50=£540
you get 200 more x-minutes but I'd get unlimited land line calls which i use about 800 a month.
I'm fine with the texts since I only really use about 50 a month and I get email with my 500mb of data.
I think ill take gabbyevs advice and wait till I'm in my 30 days, might phone up occasionally from now till then to see what else they can offer.0 -
I just got offered the following-
Free HTC Desire HD
Unlimited internet (500MB limit)
600 mins
Unlimited texts
£17.50 a month. (insurance is an additional £5 a month on top)
I said I'd ring them back when I'd thought about it... What's everyone's thoughts? Can I push for more? I've been with orange for 12 years and am currently paying £20 a month for a similar deal.
Thanks0 -
sounds really good, think you should go for it...and get that customer service advisor that phoned you to give me a ring :P0

Hehe I wonder what word they will have to use when they bring out deals that really are unlimited to make the distinction between the two.
"Sir we have two packages from our internet bundles
You can either go for our unlimited deal for £5 p/m or alternatively we have a limitless option for just £8 p/m"0 -

ha ha.. It's ridiculous isn't it. She said 'unlimited with 500MB limit.' I said 'but I thought you said unlimited?' she said 'all our unlimited internet bundles have caps on so there is a limit with you can use'
Makes no sense!0 -
Thanks for all this info, came in very useful.0

Is that 18 or 24 month? It seems to be a good deal on 24 month and an utter bargain if its 18. Did they say whether the Desire HD was in stock? I've been on the waiting list since speaking to retentions last week and was promised a handset would be on the way by yesterday at the latest.
I then noticed that other posters on the forum were getting a Desire HD on upgrade without having to join the waiting list so I rang up Orange to ask where my handset was. The bloke I spoke to was very apologetic and said that according to his system there were none in stock and that I was still on the waiting list, however he offered to credit £30 to my account as means of an apology which cheered me upIt seems that once the handsets arrive its a bit of a free for all so I think I'll call retentions every morning until I finally get my new phone rather than wait for the mythical text to let me know it's on the way.
