How come there are all these 1st time posters that are getting great deals with retentions?

I'm almost at my 30 day to end of contract and have been offered rubbish same as on website deals, only speaking to customer service people though, do you have to ask to be put through to retentions or is that a last measure when you say you are leaving?

Maybe her customer value is higher than yours. (Meaning she makes more money for the network. Its not about how much your phone bills are its how much money you make from other networks calling you as well.)

Hi John,
don't speak with upgrade people. speak with the cancellation team and they will give you a better deal.I have been ringing upgrade people for past 4 weeks but got a good deal only through retention team and surprisingly they had Desire HD in stock as well!(My original contract expires on 16-12-11 and I got a better deal only today.

im on the back order list for the Htc desire hd and have been for almost a fortnight - its annoying considering they have it in stock in sales but cant do anyting for me as Im on backorder, just have to wait for my text message

I was on list for a fortnight as well..never received text...called retentions and they said they have in stock..hopefully will be delivered on monday, do ring to check

rang them last night and first thing i said/asked was if they had any of the htc desire hd in stock, when they said yes I said I had one on back order, the guy got it all sorted and am due for delivery tuesday:D

Thats 2 replies that have gone through to retentions but don't say how you got to them.

when i have been going through to orange i ring 150, then press option 1 (for mobile query), then option 4 then option 2 (for thinking of leaving orange:D)
