Orange Retention Offers

you'll have to pay those costs as you are contracted. You might find you get a better deal from Orange closer to the end of your contract.0

people who are waiting for an android phone!!
jump ship to t mobile.
they give you 3GB internet for all android phones with very fast download speeds.
500MB is barely enough for the simplest of tasks - it is ok if you only browse occasionally
but android lets you tether...in whcih case 3GB is the way to go!
Also everyone just wait for the Nexus 2. It's going to be awesome!0 -
After phoning up on 26/10 was offered 400 x-net, 800 texts, unlimited landlines and 500MB internet for £25 pm with a £5 loyalty discount on an 18 month deal and a free HTC Desire - phone was out of stock so put on back order (due 1st week Nov) and I was told the deal would be honoured. I asked for a PAC anyway in the meantime.
Phoned today to see if there was any movement on the stock. After saying there were problems the Cust Rep went away to check and surprise, surprise they were back in stock today. But she could only offer me 400 x-net, 300 texts, landlines and internet for £25 pm with no discount if I wanted a free handset ("If you want it for 20pm you won't get the internet bundle" was the option). When I asked why they weren't honouring the original deal (which was noted on my records) she said that I should have taken the deal there and then - I pointed out that it was difficult to take them up on the deal then when they didn't have the handset and I wasn't told that at the time, but she said there was nothing they can do.
I might phone back tonight to see if there's any alternatives but I'm pretty hacked off with the treatment - I think the PAC code might be getting used.
Even better when typing this got a txt saying the handset is in stock and to call 150 options 1/4/3 to see about the upgrade - tried that and option not recognised. Talk about incompetent2025: 3xBluRay, £750, Book
2024: £125, 3xCD, 2xBooks, BluRay, 1 Vinyl, Game,
2023: Garment Bag, Perfume, £100,TortillaChips,Rituals Set, Book, BluRay.

rms1965 - i reckon once Orange know you want a specific phone and you're waiting for it with them, they then try it on and retract offers previously made at the last minute, hoping you'll be frustrated enough to pay up having waited! I also got the 'just put you on hold while i check if they've come in' before then changing the deal.
same happened to me and others from what i've read above.
I've requested my PAC code too and am biding my time before calling up again...or moving to another network.
If you want a phone that's in demand it seems they're gonna make you pay - loyalty or no loyalty and deal or no deal!0 -
Hi,
At the min out of 22 handsets the retention and upgrade team offer they only have 11 makes in stock.0 -
Was offered this last week...
Nokia N8 at £39.99

£22.50 per month
Accepted it but still waiting on the Damn N8 coming into Stock, anyone know how often they get their stock in?
Dont all the other networks let you go and pick up a phone in one of the shops if they dont have them in stock?0 -

Hi,
It depends on quite a few things...
Manufacturer
Handset testing
Allocation - Upgrades, retentions and small business use the same allocation of stock
They might source some handsets from other areas of the business.
Csr gets a daily brief on stock update. So when they say they dont know when a handset is due thats the truth.0 -

Looks like I got lucky today. Phoned back on the off-chance first thing this morning.
Phone's in stock still and was offered 600 minutes, 300 txts, 500MB data, unlimited landlines on an 18mth deal with a free HTC Desire for £20. That's better than the deal I was offered originally and 300 mins and £5pm better than the one yesterday afternoon.

Spoke to retention team today as my current 18 month contract expires next month. I said I wanted the Desire HD on an 18 month contract. After some negotiation, they offered me the HTC Desire HD for £25 per month on an 18 month contract with 500 x-net minutes, 300 texts, 500 MB internet and unlimited landline calls. They said I could also have the same deal with the regular desire for £20 per month. The phone is out of stock at the moment, as are virtually all other handsets so they have promised to text me on Friday when the phone is available. On the face of it, this seems like a pretty good deal as the total deal cost for the hd would be £450 and this handset costs around £470 sim free. Fingers crossed that they actually honour this deal unlike some others have found.0
