  • I have lost all faith in Orange but unfortunately where I live they have the best signal and coverage. I'll try one more time, if that fails I'll leave and join Vodafone.

I have complained to Orange about a previous matter and I sent it to the chairmans office. Unfortunately I was still messed around, arranged callbacks never materialised, documents were never sent out, arrangements were never carried through.

I guess companies are trying to save money and Orange are saving money on customer relations by not having any.

I've said it before but I'll say it again, upgrades and the retentions are the same department

Upgrades told me categorically that they could not give me what I wanted and were happy to wish me well if I left them. Retentions seemed to be able to do what they wanted.

I called Retentions earlier this evening and was underwhelmed for the first time. I'll be calling back in the next hour to see if they can do better.

They're the same department, the same people, using the same systems, the only difference is in the mindset of the customer that phones up.

Anyone who phones upgrades has probably already decided to stay with the network and will be happy to accept a lesser deal, this is what the majority of people do, whereas anyone who is thinking of leaving needs to be persuaded to stay, so they will be offered a better 'take it or leave it' deal.
  • Has anyone managed to get more than 500Mb on data? It says unlimited, but it is a fair usage policy of 500Mb. I'm looking at getting the HTC Desire HD when it comes out at the end of the month, but 500Mb is not going to be enough. I am using on average 300-400Mb on my HTC Touch HD (windows mobile) phone, but the Desire on Android eats internet like their is no tomorrow. I'll be using Microsoft Exchange, watching the odd video, downloading podcasts, browsing the web, using Skype etc. T-mobile have a 3Gb fair use policy, but I'd rather stick with Orange if I can get a better data deal.

Has anyone had a confirmed release date for the Desire HD? Just lost my phone and am out of contract so hoping I won't have to wait too long to 'upgrade'.
