HTC Desire HD has been confirmed for a November launch, so I'd hold off getting a Desire for now
Depends what is in the desire HD, you can upgrade the Android system to 2.2 free from the HTC site which upgrades the video to 720p HD.
Might find that the improved OS is all that you get in terms of capability.
The HD will be a bit bigger and heavier with a slightly larger screen, but other than that the spec seems the same as the current model. I'm not keen on a bigger phone, it's big enough already.0 -
how do u upgrade via the phone rather than online? is there a way to do itWhat goes around-comes around0

The only reason I'd hold off getting the Desire is because the price will drop when the new one comes out, it's still an awesome phone
gabbyevs goto Settings, About Phone, System Update, it'll update via wifi0 -

Do Orange generally offer you a better deal with retentions than a new customer?
I am wanting a dolphin 30 contract with a free blackberry (no big deal as they are free from dolphin 20) but I want it for £25 per month rather than £30.00, is that asking alot?0 -
sems to be hit and miss bubby
atm they wont offer me any better than a new customer dealWhat goes around-comes around0 -
Like all these places they'll have targets to meet and set periods to meet them in. At the beginning of each period they'll give nothing away but the closer they get to period-end the more chance you've got of getting what you want as their section heads will be pushing them to meet their figures. The best thing to do is ask for your PAC and then ring up two or three times a week during the 30-day period you have to use it. Chances are that at some point in those 30 days you'll strike lucky. Of course, your demands have to be realistic in the first place. If I've helped you please show your appreciation by using the "Thanks" button
